^14 (A)And he deceives ^[a]those who dwell on the earth ^(B)by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword ^(C)and lived.

^20 (A)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(B)those who worshiped his image. ^(C)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(D)burning with brimstone.

⁹ So ^(A)the great dragon was cast out, ^(B)that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, ^(C)who deceives the whole world; ^(D)he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁸ All who dwell on the earth will worship him, ^(A)whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain ^(B)from the foundation of the world.

¹⁰ The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone ^(A)where^[a] the beast and the false prophet are. And they ^(B)will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

³ and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and ^(A)set a seal on him, ^(B)so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

⁴ And I saw ^(C)thrones, and they sat on them, and ^(D)judgment was committed to them. Then I saw ^(E)the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, ^(F)who had not worshiped the beast ^(G)or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they ^(H)lived and ^(I)reigned with Christ for ^[a]a thousand years.

^23 (A)The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, ^(B)and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For ^(C)your merchants were the great men of the earth, ^(D)for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.

First Bowl: Loathsome Sores

² So the first went and poured out his bowl ^(A)upon the earth, and a ^[a]foul and ^(B)loathsome sore came upon the men ^(C)who had the mark of the beast and those ^(D)who worshiped his image.

² And I saw something like ^(A)a sea of glass ^(B)mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, ^(C)over his image and ^[a]over his mark and over the ^(D)number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, ^(E)having harps of God.
