The Beast from the Earth

¹¹ Then I saw another beast ^(A)coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

The Great Apostasy

4 Now the Spirit ^[a]expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed ^(A)to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

²⁷ Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the ^(A)appointed time.

¹³ And I saw three unclean ^(A)spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of ^(B)the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of ^(C)the false prophet.

¹⁴ For they are spirits of demons, ^(A)performing signs, which go out to the kings ^[a]of the earth and of ^(B)the whole world, to gather them to ^(C)the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

⁶ And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for ^(A)this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

¹¹ And ^[a]he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”

¹⁵ Then he said to me, ^(A)“The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, ^(B)are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.

⁷ It was granted to him ^(A)to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And ^(B)authority was given him over every ^[a]tribe, tongue, and nation.

⁹ He was a mighty ^(A)hunter ^(B)before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.”
