Satan Thrown Out of Heaven

⁷ And war broke out in heaven: ^(A)Michael and his angels fought ^(B)with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,

⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, in ^[a]contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, ^(A)“The Lord rebuke you!”

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to ^[a]hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against ^(A)principalities, against powers, against ^(B)the rulers of ^[a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

² He laid hold of ^(A)the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

²¹ But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. (No one upholds me against these, ^(A)except Michael your prince.

^13 (A)But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, ^(B)Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

⁹ So ^(A)the great dragon was cast out, ^(B)that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, ^(C)who deceives the whole world; ^(D)he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
