⁵ And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule^[a] all the nations with a scepter of iron. But her child was snatched away and taken to God and to his throne,^(A)

¹⁵ From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule^[a] them with a scepter of iron; he will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.^(A)

²⁶ To everyone who conquers and continues to do my works to the end,

² She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pangs, in the agony of giving birth.^(A)

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son and shall name him Immanuel.^[a](A)

¹² Then they^[a] heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies watched them.^(A)

²⁵ but had no marital relations with her until she had given birth to a son,^[a] and he named him Jesus.^(A)

² I know a person in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know; God knows.^(A)
