¹⁷ And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus ^[a]Christ.

^12 (A)Here is the ^[a]patience of the saints; ^(B)here^[b] are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

¹⁰ And ^(A)I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ^(B)“See that you do not do that! I am your ^(C)fellow servant, and of your brethren ^(D)who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the ^(E)testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

The Witnesses Killed

⁷ When they ^(A)finish their testimony, ^(B)the beast that ascends ^(C)out of the bottomless pit ^(D)will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.

Fifth Seal: The Cry of the Martyrs

⁹ When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under ^(A)the altar ^(B)the souls of those who had been slain ^(C)for the word of God and for ^(D)the testimony which they held.

^2 (A)who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things ^(B)that he saw.

⁷ It was granted to him ^(A)to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And ^(B)authority was given him over every ^[a]tribe, tongue, and nation.

¹¹ And ^(A)they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, ^(B)and they did not love their lives to the death. ¹² Therefore ^(C)rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! ^(D)Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, ^(E)because he knows that he has a short time.”
