¹⁷ And the dragon was angry at the woman, and went away to fight against^[a] the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and who hold to the testimony about Jesus.

²¹ For the king of Babylon stands at the fork of the road at the head of the two roads to practice divination. He shakes the arrows,^[a] he inquires with the teraphim, he examines^[b] the liver.

²² In his right hand is the divination for Jerusalem, to put up battering rams, to open a mouth for slaughter,^[a] to raise the battle cry,^[b] to put up battering rams against gates, to build a siege ramp, to build siege works.^[c]

Satan’s Release and Defeat

⁷ And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison

⁸ and he will go out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to assemble them for battle, whose number^[a] is like the sand of the sea.
