⁹ For three and a half days some from the peoples and tribes and languages and nations will gaze at their dead bodies and ^(A)refuse to let them be placed in a tomb,

¹⁵ And the angel^[a] said to me, ^(A)“The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.

¹¹ But after the three and a half days ^(A)a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

² but do not measure ^(A)the court outside the temple; leave that out, for ^(B)it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for ^(C)forty-two months. ³ And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for ^(D)1,260 days, ^(E)clothed in sackcloth.”

¹¹ And I was told, ^(A)“You must again prophesy about many peoples and nations and languages and kings.”

⁷ Also it was allowed ^(A)to make war on the saints and to conquer them.^[a] And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,

³ If a man fathers a hundred children and lives many years, so that ^(A)the days of his years are many, but his soul is not satisfied with life's ^(B)good things, and he also has no ^(C)burial, I say that ^(D)a stillborn child is better off than he.

¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to ^(A)all the birds that fly directly overhead, ^(B)“Come, gather for ^(C)the great supper of God, ^18 (D)to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave,^[a] both small and great.”
