¹² And ^[a]they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” ^(A)And they ascended to heaven ^(B)in a cloud, ^(C)and their enemies saw them.

The Throne Room of Heaven^(A)

4 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing ^(B)open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a ^(C)trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

Jesus Ascends to Heaven^(A)

^9 (B)Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, ^(C)He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

¹¹ Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly ^(A)a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah ^(B)went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

^17 (A)Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them ^(B)in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus ^(C)we shall always be with the Lord.

⁵ She bore a male Child ^(A)who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was ^(B)caught up to God and His throne.

^5 (A)even when we were dead in trespasses, ^(B)made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), ⁶ and raised us up together, and made us sit together ^(C)in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

²¹ To him who overcomes ^(A)I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

²³ And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
