³ Blessed is the one who reads the words of the prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

²⁸ But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”^(A)

¹⁰ And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.

⁷ The end of all things is near;^[a] therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.^(A)

An Urgent Appeal

¹¹ Besides this, you know what time it is, how it is already the moment for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we became believers;^(A)

⁶ And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true, for the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”^(A)

⁷ “See, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”^(B)

¹² Happy are those who persevere and attain the thousand three hundred thirty-five days.^{(A) 13} But you, go your way,^[a] and rest; you shall rise for your reward at the end of the days.”^(B)

⁸ You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.^{[a](A) 9} Brothers and sisters, do not grumble against one another, so that you may not be judged. See, the Judge is standing at the doors!^(B)

¹² “See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone’s work.^(A)
