Introduction and Benediction

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, ^(A)which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must ^[a]shortly take place. And ^(B)He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

^16 (A)“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. ^(B)I am the Root and the Offspring of David, ^(C)the Bright and Morning Star.”

The Time Is Near

⁶ Then he said to me, ^(A)“These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the ^[a]holy prophets ^(B)sent His angel to show His servants the things which must ^(C)shortly take place.

¹² For ^(A)I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came ^(B)through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

^28 (A)But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar ^(B)what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these: ²⁹ As for you, O king, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed, about what would come to pass after this; ^(C)and He who reveals secrets has made known to you what will be.

^19 [a]Write the things which you have ^(A)seen, ^(B)and the things which are, ^(C)and the things which will take place after this.

^3 (A)how that by revelation ^(B)He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already,

Vision of the Son of Man

⁹ I, John, ^[a]both your brother and ^(A)companion in the tribulation and ^(B)kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
