²⁰ The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, ^(A)did not repent of ^(B)the works of their hands nor give up worshiping ^(C)demons ^(D)and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk,

²³ but you have lifted up yourself against ^(A)the Lord of heaven. And ^(B)the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. ^(C)And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, ^(D)but the God in whose hand is your breath, and ^(E)whose are all your ways, ^(F)you have not honored.

²⁹ For I know that after my death ^(A)you will surely act corruptly and turn aside from the way that I have commanded you. And ^(B)in the days to come ^(C)evil will befall you, because you will do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, ^(D)provoking him to anger through the work of your hands.”

²⁶ And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great many people, ^(A)saying that ^(B)gods made with hands are not gods.

²¹ nor did they repent of their murders or their ^(A)sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
