Gegenseitige Duldsamkeit in Gewissensfragen
14 Nehmt den Schwachen im Glauben an, ohne über Gewissensfragen zu streiten.
2 Einer glaubt, alles essen zu dürfen; wer aber schwach ist, der isst Gemüse.
3 Wer isst, verachte den nicht, der nicht isst; und wer nicht isst, richte den nicht, der isst; denn Gott hat ihn angenommen.
4 Wer bist du, dass du den Hausknecht eines anderen richtest? Er steht oder fällt seinem eigenen Herrn. Er wird aber aufrecht gehalten werden; denn Gott vermag ihn aufrecht zu halten.
5 Dieser hält einen Tag höher als den anderen, jener hält alle Tage gleich; jeder sei seiner Meinung gewiss!
6 Wer auf den Tag achtet, der achtet darauf für den Herrn, und wer nicht auf den Tag achtet, der achtet nicht darauf für den Herrn. Wer isst, der isst für den Herrn, denn er dankt Gott; und wer nicht isst, der enthält sich der Speise für den Herrn und dankt Gott auch.
7 Denn keiner von uns lebt sich selbst und keiner stirbt sich selbst.
8 Denn leben wir, so leben wir dem Herrn, und sterben wir, so sterben wir dem Herrn; ob wir nun leben oder sterben, wir gehören dem Herrn.
9 Denn dazu ist Christus auch gestorben und auferstanden und wieder lebendig geworden, dass er sowohl über Tote als auch über Lebende Herr sei.
10 Du aber, was richtest du deinen Bruder? Oder du, was verachtest du deinen Bruder? Wir werden ja alle vor dem Richterstuhl des Christus erscheinen;
11 denn es steht geschrieben: »So wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr: Mir soll sich jedes Knie beugen, und jede Zunge wird Gott bekennen«.[a]
12 So wird also jeder von uns für sich selbst Gott Rechenschaft geben.
Pflicht zur Rücksichtnahme gegenüber dem schwächeren Bruder
13 Darum lasst uns nicht mehr einander richten, sondern das richtet vielmehr, dass dem Bruder weder ein Anstoß noch ein Ärgernis in den Weg gestellt wird!
14 Ich weiß und bin überzeugt in dem Herrn Jesus, dass nichts an und für sich unrein ist; sondern es ist nur für den unrein, der etwas für unrein hält.
15 Wenn aber dein Bruder um einer Speise willen betrübt wird, so wandelst du nicht mehr gemäß der Liebe. Verdirb mit deiner Speise nicht denjenigen, für den Christus gestorben ist!
16 So soll nun euer Bestes nicht verlästert werden.
17 Denn das Reich Gottes ist nicht Essen und Trinken, sondern Gerechtigkeit, Friede und Freude im Heiligen Geist;
18 wer darin Christus dient, der ist Gott wohlgefällig und auch von den Menschen geschätzt.
19 So lasst uns nun nach dem streben, was zum Frieden und zur gegenseitigen Erbauung[b] dient.
20 Zerstöre nicht wegen einer Speise das Werk Gottes! Es ist zwar alles rein, aber es ist demjenigen schädlich, der es mit Anstoß isst.[c]
21 Es ist gut, wenn du kein Fleisch isst und keinen Wein trinkst, noch sonst etwas tust, woran dein Bruder Anstoß oder Ärgernis nehmen oder schwach werden könnte.
22 Du hast Glauben? Habe ihn für dich selbst vor Gott! Glückselig, wer sich selbst nicht verurteilt in dem, was er gutheißt!
23 Wer aber zweifelt, der ist verurteilt, wenn er doch isst, weil es nicht aus Glauben geschieht. Alles aber, was nicht aus Glauben geschieht, ist Sünde.

The Weak and the Strong
14 Accept the one whose faith is weak,(A) without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.(B) 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt(C) the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge(D) the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?(E) To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
5 One person considers one day more sacred than another;(F) another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God;(G) and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone,(H) and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.(I) 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life(J) so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.(K)
10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt?(L) For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.(M) 11 It is written:
“‘As surely as I live,’(N) says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”[b](O)
12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.(P)
13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment(Q) on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.(R) 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself.(S) But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean.(T) 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love.(U) Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died.(V) 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil.(W) 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking,(X) but of righteousness, peace(Y) and joy in the Holy Spirit,(Z) 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.(AA)
19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace(AB) and to mutual edification.(AC) 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food.(AD) All food is clean,(AE) but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.(AF) 21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.(AG)
22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn(AH) himself by what he approves. 23 But whoever has doubts(AI) is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.[c]

14 Reciban bien en su grupo a los que tienen dudas y no dejen que esas dudas sean motivo de discusiones entre ustedes. 2 Unos creen que se puede comer toda clase de alimentos,[a] pero otros que tienen dudas creen que solamente se pueden comer verduras. 3 El que coma toda clase de alimentos no debe creerse mejor que aquel que no come de todo. Y el que no come de todo no debe criticar al que come toda clase de alimentos, pues Dios lo aceptó así. 4 Tú no puedes juzgar al siervo de otro; sólo el propio amo puede aceptar o condenar a su siervo. Y será aceptado porque el Señor es capaz de hacer que su siervo sea aceptado.
5 Otro caso: unos piensan que un día es más importante que otro, y hay quienes piensan que todos los días son iguales. Cada uno debe decidir por sí mismo. 6 El que le da más importancia a un día que a otro, lo hace para agradar al Señor. El que come todos los alimentos lo hace para agradar al Señor, pues le da gracias. El que no come de todo, lo hace también para el Señor, y le da gracias. 7 Todos vivimos para el Señor y ninguno vive o muere para sí mismo. 8 Si vivimos, para el Señor vivimos y si morimos, para el Señor morimos. Así que vivos o muertos pertenecemos al Señor. 9 Cristo murió y resucitó por esta razón: para ser Señor de vivos y muertos.
10 Entonces, ¿por qué juzgas a tu hermano? ¿O por qué te crees mejor que tu hermano? Dios es nuestro juez y todos tendremos que presentarnos ante él. 11 (A)Como está escrito:
«El Señor dice: Prometo por mi vida,
que todos se arrodillarán ante mí,
y todos reconocerán a Dios».[b]
12 Así que cada uno de nosotros tendrá que rendirle cuentas a Dios.
13 Por eso, dejemos de criticarnos unos a otros. Mejor tratemos de no hacer nada que pueda perjudicar la fe de nuestro hermano o llevarlo a cometer pecados. 14 Como creyente en el Señor Jesús, estoy seguro de que ningún alimento en sí está prohibido. Pero si alguien cree que hay alimentos prohibidos, entonces estarán prohibidos para él. 15 Si lo que comes le hace daño a la fe de tu hermano, entonces ya no actúas por amor. Cristo murió por esa persona, así que no permitas que lo que tú comes destruya su fe. 16 No den, pues, lugar a que se diga que el bien que hacen es malo. 17 En el reino de Dios lo importante no es lo que comamos o bebamos, sino vivir con justicia y buscar la paz y la felicidad que trae el Espíritu Santo. 18 El que sirve a Cristo de esta manera, agrada a Dios y será estimado por todos.
19 Entonces, hagamos lo que trae paz y ayudémonos unos a otros a fortalecer nuestra fe. 20 No destruyas la obra de Dios por causa de la comida. Se puede comer de todo, pero no está bien comer algo que haga pecar a otro. 21 Es mejor no comer carne ni tomar vino si eso hace que tu hermano caiga en pecado. Es mejor no hacer nada que haga debilitar la fe de tu hermano. 22 Tus creencias sobre estas cosas deben ser un secreto entre Dios y tú. Afortunado el que puede hacer lo que cree que es correcto sin sentirse culpable. 23 Pero el que come algo dudando que esté bien comerlo, se condena a sí mismo porque va contra sus creencias. Así que todo lo que hagas contra tus creencias es pecado.

14 Receive(A) one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. 2 For one believes he (B)may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. 3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and (C)let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him. 4 (D)Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
5 (E)One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who (F)observes the day, observes it to the Lord; [a]and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for (G)he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. 7 For (H)none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. 8 For if we (I)live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For (J)to this end Christ died [b]and rose and lived again, that He might be (K)Lord of both the dead and the living. 10 But why do you judge your brother? The Law of Love
14 I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus (P)that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. 15 Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. (Q)Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died. 16 (R)Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; 17 (S)for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and (T)peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ in [e]these things (U)is acceptable to God and approved by men.
19 (V)Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which (W)one may [f]edify another. 20 (X)Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. (Y)All things indeed are pure, (Z)but it is evil for the man who eats with [g]offense. 21 It is good neither to eat (AA)meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles [h]or is offended or is made weak. 22 [i]Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. (AB)Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for (AC)whatever is not from faith is [j]sin.
