A song of ascents.
1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord,(A)
who walk in obedience to him.(B)
2 You will eat the fruit of your labor;(C)
blessings and prosperity(D) will be yours.
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine(E)
within your house;
your children(F) will be like olive shoots(G)
around your table.
4 Yes, this will be the blessing(H)
for the man who fears the Lord.(I)

O cântare a treptelor
1 Ferice de(A) oricine se teme de Domnul
şi umblă pe căile Lui!
2 Căci(B) atunci te bucuri de lucrul mâinilor tale,
eşti fericit şi-ţi merge bine.
3 Nevastă-ta este ca(C) o viţă roditoare înăuntrul casei tale;
copiii tăi stau ca(D) nişte lăstari de măslin împrejurul mesei tale.
4 Aşa este binecuvântat
omul care se teme de Domnul.
5 Să te binecuvânteze(E) Domnul din Sion,
să vezi fericirea Ierusalimului în toate zilele vieţii tale
6 şi să vezi(F) pe copiii copiilor tăi!
Pacea(G) să fie peste Israel!

128 Blessed (A)is every one who fears the Lord,
Who walks in His ways.

You shall be happy, and it shall be (C)well with you.
3 Your wife shall be (D)like a fruitful vine
In the very heart of your house,
Your (E)children (F)like olive plants
All around your table.
4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed
Who fears the Lord.
5 (G)The Lord bless you out of Zion,
And may you see the good of Jerusalem
All the days of your life.
6 Yes, may you (H)see your children’s children.
