Psalm 47
Gud är konung
1 För sångmästaren, en psalm av Koras söner.
2 Klappa i händerna, alla folk,
höj jubel till Gud med fröjderop!
3 Ty Herren, den Högste, är fruktansvärd,
en stor konung över hela jorden.
4 Han lägger folk under oss,
folkslag under våra fötter.
5 Han utväljer åt oss vår arvedel,
Jakobs, hans älskades, stolthet. Sela.
6 Gud har farit upp under jubel,
Herren, under basuners ljud.
7 Lovsjung Gud, lovsjung!
Lovsjung vår konung, lovsjung!
8 Ty Gud är konung över hela jorden,
lovsjung honom med en psalm.
9 Gud är konung över hednafolken,
Gud sitter på sin heliga tron.
10 Folkens främsta samlas
som Abrahams Guds folk.
Ty jordens sköldar tillhör Gud,
högt är han upphöjd.

47 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2 For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

47 (0) For the leader. A psalm of the descendants of Korach:
2 (1) Clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with cries of joy!
3 (2) For Adonai ‘Elyon is awesome,
a great king over all the earth.
4 (3) He makes peoples subject to us,
puts nations under our feet.
5 (4) He chooses our heritage for us,
the pride of Ya‘akov, whom he loves. (Selah)
6 (5) God goes up to shouts of acclaim,
Adonai to a blast on the shofar.
7 (6) Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our king, sing praises!
8 (7) For God is king of all the earth;
sing praises in a maskil.
9 (8) God rules the nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
10 (9) The leaders of the people gather together,
the people of the God of Avraham;
for the rulers of the earth belong to God,
who is exalted on high.
