En bröllopssång för kungen
1-2 Mitt hjärta flödar över av sköna tankar! Jag ska skriva en sång till kungen. Jag har så mycket att säga. Ja, min tunga är som pennan hos den mest inspirerade diktare.
3 Du är den skönaste av alla.Du har verkligen talets gåva.Gud kommer alltid att välsigna dig.
4 Rusta dig, du mäktige kung,i din majestätiska glans.
5 Dra ut i triumf,försvara sanningen, ödmjukheten och rättvisan!Ja, gå framåt till stora segrar!
6 Dina pilar är vassa,de träffar dina fiender mitt i hjärtat.Folken faller ner inför dina fötter.
7 Gud, din makt kommer att bestå i evighet.Du regerar över ditt folk med rättvisa.
8 Du älskar det som är gottoch hatar det onda.Därför har Gud, din Gud,gett dig mer glädjeän någon annan.
9 Alla dina kläder doftar av dyrbar parfym. I dina palats, dekorerade med elfenben, spelas skön musik.
10 Kungadöttrar finns bland kvinnorna vid ditt hov. Och till höger om din tron står drottningen som bär juveler av finaste guld.
11-12 Du kungadotter, lyssna nu till vad jag säger. Tänk inte mer på ditt folk och din släkt. Du är vacker och kungen gläder sig åt din skönhet. Visa respekt för honom, för han är din herre.
13 Invånarna i staden Tyrus, de rikaste människorna i vår tid, kommer att överösa dig med gåvor och försöka skaffa sig förmåner hos dig.
14 Bruden, kungens dotter, väntar i sin kammare, klädd i bländande kläder som är vävda av guld.
15 Hon är strålande vacker och går fram till kungen med sina bröllopstärnor i släptåg!
16 Under glädje och jubel går de i procession in genom palatsportarna!
17 Även dina söner kommer en dag att bli kungar och regera som dina förfäder. Och du ska göra dem till härskare över hela jorden.
18 Jag ska se till att ditt namn äras från generation till generation. Ja, jordens folk ska prisa dig i all framtid!

Messiaskonungen och hans brud
1 För sångmästaren, till "Liljornas" melodi. En läropsalm, en sång om kärlek, av Koras söner.
2 Mitt hjärta flödar över av vackra ord,
jag säger: Min sång gäller en konung.
Min tunga är en snabb skrivares penna.
3 Du är den skönaste bland människors barn,
nåd är utgjuten över dina läppar.
Därför har Gud välsignat dig för evigt.
4 Bind svärdet vid din sida, du hjälte,
i ditt majestät och din härlighet.
5 Ha framgång i din härlighet
och drag ut till försvar för sanning,
ödmjukhet och rättfärdighet.
Din högra hand skall lära dig underbara gärningar.
6 Skarpa är dina pilar,
folk skall falla för dig,
konungens fiender skall träffas i hjärtat.
7 Gud, din tron står i evigheters evighet,
ditt rikes spira är rättens spira.
8 Du älskar rättfärdighet och hatar orättfärdighet.
Därför, Gud, har din Gud smort dig[a] med glädjens olja
mer än dina medbröder.
9 Av myrra, aloe och kassia doftar alla dina kläder,
från elfenbenspalats gläder dig strängaspel.
10 Kungadöttrar har du som tärnor i ditt hov,
en drottning står vid din högra sida
i guld från Ofir.
11 Hör, dotter, se och lyssna!
Glöm ditt folk och din faders hus!
12 Låt konungen ha sin glädje i din skönhet,
ty han är din herre,
för honom skall du falla ner.
13 Dottern Tyrus kommer med gåvor,
de rika bland folket söker din gunst.
14 Full av härlighet är hon, kungadottern i gemaket,
av guldvirkat tyg består hennes dräkt.
15 I brokigt vävda kläder förs hon till konungen.
Jungfrur, hennes väninnor, följer henne,
de leds in till dig.
16 Under glädje och jubel förs de fram,
de tågar in i konungens palats.
17 I dina fäders ställe skall dina söner komma,
du skall sätta dem till furstar överallt i landet.
18 Ditt namn vill jag upphöja bland alla kommande släkten,
därför skall folken lova dig alltid och för evigt.

1 My heart is stirred by a noble theme
as I recite my verses for the king;
my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.
2 You are the most excellent of men
and your lips have been anointed with grace,(B)
since God has blessed you forever.(C)
3 Gird your sword(D) on your side, you mighty one;(E)
clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.(F)
4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously(G)
in the cause of truth, humility and justice;(H)
let your right hand(I) achieve awesome deeds.(J)
5 Let your sharp arrows(K) pierce the hearts(L) of the king’s enemies;(M)
let the nations fall beneath your feet.
6 Your throne, O God,[c] will last for ever and ever;(N)
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness(O) and hate wickedness;(P)
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing(Q) you with the oil of joy.(R)
8 All your robes are fragrant(S) with myrrh(T) and aloes(U) and cassia;(V)
from palaces adorned with ivory(W)
the music of the strings(X) makes you glad.
9 Daughters of kings(Y) are among your honored women;

10 Listen, daughter,(AC) and pay careful attention:(AD)
Forget your people(AE) and your father’s house.
11 Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;(AF)
honor(AG) him, for he is your lord.(AH)

people of wealth will seek your favor.
13 All glorious(AK) is the princess within her chamber;
her gown is interwoven with gold.(AL)
14 In embroidered garments(AM) she is led to the king;(AN)
her virgin companions(AO) follow her—
those brought to be with her.
15 Led in with joy and gladness,(AP)
they enter the palace of the king.
16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers;

45 My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a [c]ready writer.
2 You are fairer than the sons of men;
(B)Grace is poured upon Your lips;
Therefore God has blessed You forever.
3 [d]Gird Your (C)sword upon Your thigh, (D)O Mighty One,
With Your (E)glory and Your majesty.
4 (F)And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness;
And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things.
5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies;
The peoples fall under You.
6 (G)Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A (H)scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
Therefore God, Your God, has (I)anointed You
With the oil of (J)gladness more than Your companions.
8 All Your garments are (K)scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia,
Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad.
9 (L)Kings’ daughters are among Your honorable women;
(M)At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir.
10 Listen, O daughter,
Consider and incline your ear;
(N)Forget your own people also, and your father’s house;
11 So the King will greatly desire your beauty;
(O)Because He is your Lord, worship Him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift;
(P)The rich among the people will seek your favor.
13 The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace;
Her clothing is woven with gold.
14 (Q)She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colors;
The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to You.
15 With gladness and rejoicing they shall be brought;
They shall enter the King’s palace.
16 Instead of Your fathers shall be Your sons,
(R)Whom You shall make princes in all the earth.
17 (S)I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations;
Therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.
