Who May Dwell on Your Holy Mountain?

A Psalm of David.

15 O Yahweh, who may [a]sojourn (A)in Your tent?
Who may dwell on Your (B)holy mountain?
He who (C)walks blamelessly, and works righteousness,
And (D)speaks truth in his heart.
He (E)does not slander [b]with his tongue,
Nor (F)does evil to his neighbor,
Nor (G)takes up a reproach against his friend;
In [c]whose eyes a reprobate is despised,
But [d]who (H)honors those who fear Yahweh;
He (I)swears to his own hurt and does not change;
He (J)does not put out his money [e]at interest,
Nor (K)does he take a bribe against the innocent.
(L)He who does these things will never be shaken.

You Will Not Forsake My Soul

A [f]Mikhtam of David.

16 (M)Keep me, O God, for (N)I take refuge in You.
O my soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are [g]my Lord;
I (O)have no good without You.”
As for the [h](P)saints who are in the earth,
They are the majestic ones (Q)in whom is all my delight.
The [i](R)pains of those who have [j]bartered for another god will be multiplied;
I shall not pour out their drink offerings of (S)blood,
Nor will I (T)take their names upon my lips.

Yahweh is the (U)portion of my inheritance and my (V)cup;
You support my (W)lot.
The (X)lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my inheritance is (Y)beautiful to me.

I will bless Yahweh who has (Z)counseled me;
Indeed, my [k](AA)mind instructs me in the night.
(AB)I have (AC)set Yahweh continually before me;
Because He is (AD)at my right hand, (AE)I will not be shaken.
Therefore (AF)my heart is glad and (AG)my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will (AH)dwell securely.
10 For You (AI)will not forsake my soul to Sheol;
You will not (AJ)give Your [l]Holy One over to see [m]corruption.
11 You will make known to me (AK)the path of life;
In (AL)Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are (AM)pleasures forever.

In the Shadow of Your Wings

A Prayer of David.

17 Hear a (AN)righteous cause, O Yahweh, (AO)give heed to my cry of lamentation;
(AP)Give ear to my prayer, which is not from (AQ)deceitful lips.
May (AR)my [n]judgment come from Your presence;
May Your eyes behold (AS)what is upright.
You have (AT)tested my heart;
You have visited me by night;
You have (AU)tried me and (AV)You find [o]nothing;
I have (AW)purposed that my mouth will not [p]transgress.
As for the deeds of men, (AX)by the word of Your lips
I have kept from the (AY)paths of the violent.
My (AZ)steps have held fast to Your [q]paths.
My (BA)footsteps have not stumbled.

I have (BB)called upon You, for You will answer me, O God;
(BC)Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.
(BD)Marvelously show Your lovingkindnesses,
O (BE)Savior of those who take refuge [r]at Your right hand
From those who rise up against them.
Keep me as [s]the (BF)apple of the eye;
Hide me (BG)in the shadow of Your wings
From the (BH)wicked who devastate me,
My (BI)deadly enemies who surround me.
10 They have (BJ)closed their [t]unfeeling heart,
With their mouth they (BK)speak proudly.
11 They have now (BL)surrounded us in our steps;
They set their eyes (BM)to cast us down to the ground.
12 He is (BN)like a lion that is eager to tear,
And as a young lion (BO)lurking in hiding places.

13 (BP)Arise, O Yahweh, confront him, (BQ)bring him low;
(BR)Protect my soul from the wicked with (BS)Your sword,
14 From men with (BT)Your hand, O Yahweh,
From men [u]of the world, (BU)whose portion is in this life,
And whose belly You (BV)fill with Your treasure;
They are satisfied with children,
And leave their excess to their infants.
15 As for me, I shall (BW)behold Your face in righteousness;
(BX)I will be satisfied [v]with Your (BY)likeness when I awake.

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.

Lord, who may dwell(A) in your sacred tent?(B)
    Who may live on your holy mountain?(C)

The one whose walk is blameless,(D)
    who does what is righteous,
    who speaks the truth(E) from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,(F)
    who does no wrong to a neighbor,
    and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
    but honors(G) those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath(H) even when it hurts,
    and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;(I)
    who does not accept a bribe(J) against the innocent.

Whoever does these things
    will never be shaken.(K)

Psalm 16

A miktam[a] of David.

Keep me safe,(L) my God,
    for in you I take refuge.(M)

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;(N)
    apart from you I have no good thing.”(O)
I say of the holy people(P) who are in the land,(Q)
    “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
Those who run after other gods(R) will suffer(S) more and more.
    I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
    or take up their names(T) on my lips.

Lord, you alone are my portion(U) and my cup;(V)
    you make my lot(W) secure.
The boundary lines(X) have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.(Y)
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;(Z)
    even at night(AA) my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand,(AB) I will not be shaken.(AC)

Therefore my heart is glad(AD) and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest secure,(AE)
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,(AF)
    nor will you let your faithful[b] one(AG) see decay.(AH)
11 You make known to me the path of life;(AI)
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,(AJ)
    with eternal pleasures(AK) at your right hand.(AL)

Psalm 17

A prayer of David.

Hear me,(AM) Lord, my plea is just;
    listen to my cry.(AN)
Hear(AO) my prayer—
    it does not rise from deceitful lips.(AP)
Let my vindication(AQ) come from you;
    may your eyes see what is right.(AR)

Though you probe my heart,(AS)
    though you examine me at night and test me,(AT)
you will find that I have planned no evil;(AU)
    my mouth has not transgressed.(AV)
Though people tried to bribe me,
    I have kept myself from the ways of the violent
    through what your lips have commanded.
My steps have held to your paths;(AW)
    my feet have not stumbled.(AX)

I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;(AY)
    turn your ear to me(AZ) and hear my prayer.(BA)
Show me the wonders of your great love,(BB)
    you who save by your right hand(BC)
    those who take refuge(BD) in you from their foes.
Keep me(BE) as the apple of your eye;(BF)
    hide me(BG) in the shadow of your wings(BH)
from the wicked who are out to destroy me,
    from my mortal enemies who surround me.(BI)

10 They close up their callous hearts,(BJ)
    and their mouths speak with arrogance.(BK)
11 They have tracked me down, they now surround me,(BL)
    with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.
12 They are like a lion(BM) hungry for prey,(BN)
    like a fierce lion crouching in cover.

13 Rise up,(BO) Lord, confront them, bring them down;(BP)
    with your sword rescue me from the wicked.
14 By your hand save me from such people, Lord,
    from those of this world(BQ) whose reward is in this life.(BR)
May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies;
    may their children gorge themselves on it,
    and may there be leftovers(BS) for their little ones.

15 As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face;
    when I awake,(BT) I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.(BU)
