Praise to the Lord for His Faithfulness to Israel.

99 (A)The Lord reigns, [a]the peoples tremble!
He (B)sits enthroned above the cherubim, [b]the earth quakes!
The Lord [c]is (C)great in Zion,
And He is (D)exalted above all the peoples.
May they praise Your (E)great and awesome name;
(F)Holy is [d]He.
The [e]strength of the King (G)loves [f]justice;
You have established [g](H)order;
You have (I)executed [h]justice and righteousness in Jacob.
[i](J)Exalt the Lord our God
And (K)worship at His footstool;
(L)Holy is He.

(M)Moses and Aaron were among His (N)priests,
And (O)Samuel was among those who (P)called on His name;
They (Q)called upon the Lord and He answered them.
He (R)spoke to them in the pillar of cloud;
They (S)kept His testimonies
And the statute that He gave them.
Lord our God, You (T)answered them;
You were a (U)forgiving God to them,
And yet an (V)avenger of their evil deeds.
Exalt the Lord our God
And worship at His holy hill,
For the Lord our God is holy.

146 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
(A)Praise the Lord, my soul!
I will praise the Lord (B)while I live;
I will (C)sing praises to my God while I [c]have my being.
(D)Do not trust in noblemen,
In [d]mortal (E)man, in whom there is (F)no salvation.
His (G)spirit departs, he (H)returns to [e]the earth;
On that very day his (I)plans perish.
(J)Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose (K)hope is in the Lord his God,
Who (L)made heaven and earth,
The (M)sea and everything that is in them;
Who (N)keeps [f]faith forever;
Who (O)executes justice for the oppressed;
Who (P)gives food to the hungry.
The Lord (Q)frees the prisoners.

The Lord (R)opens the eyes of those who are blind;
The Lord (S)raises up those who are bowed down;
The Lord (T)loves the righteous.
The Lord (U)watches over strangers;
He [g](V)supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He [h]thwarts (W)the way of the wicked.
10 The Lord will (X)reign forever,
Your God, Zion, to all generations.
[i]Praise [j]the Lord!

And He answered me.
I called for help from the [a]depth of (B)Sheol;
You heard my voice.
For You (C)threw me into the deep,
Into the heart of the seas,
And the current flowed around me.
All Your (D)breakers and waves passed over me.
So I said, ‘I have been (E)cast out [b]of Your sight.
Nevertheless I will look again (F)toward Your holy temple.’
(G)Water encompassed me to the [c]point of death.

While [e]I was (L)fainting away,
I (M)remembered the Lord,
And my (N)prayer came to You,
Into (O)Your holy temple.
Those who (P)are followers of worthless [f]idols
Abandon their faithfulness,
But I will (Q)sacrifice to You
With a voice of thanksgiving.
That which I have vowed I will (R)pay.
(S)Salvation is from the Lord.”

The Armor of God

10 Finally, (A)be strong in the Lord and in (B)the strength of His might. 11 (C)Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the (D)schemes of the devil. 12 For our (E)struggle is not against [a](F)flesh and blood, but (G)against the rulers, against the powers, against the (H)world forces of this (I)darkness, against the (J)spiritual forces of wickedness in (K)the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up (L)the full armor of God, so that you will be able to (M)resist on (N)the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, (O)having belted your waist with truth, and having (P)put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having (Q)strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 [b]in addition to all, taking up the (R)shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the (S)flaming arrows of (T)the evil one. 17 And take (U)the helmet of salvation and the (V)sword of the Spirit, which is (W)the word of God.

18 [c]With every (X)prayer and request, [d](Y)pray at all times (Z)in the Spirit, and with this in view, [e](AA)be alert with all (AB)perseverance and every (AC)request for all the [f]saints, 19 and (AD)pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me (AE)in the opening of my mouth, to make known with (AF)boldness (AG)the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an (AH)ambassador (AI)in [g]chains; that [h]in proclaiming it I may speak (AJ)boldly, (AK)as I ought to speak.

17 So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb (A)four days. 18 Now (B)Bethany was near Jerusalem, about [a]fifteen stadia away; 19 and many of (C)the Jews had come to (D)Martha and Mary, (E)to console them about their brother. 20 So then (F)Martha, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet Him, but (G)Mary [b]stayed in the house. 21 Martha then said to Jesus, “(H)Lord, (I)if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 Even now I know that (J)whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23 Jesus *said to her, “Your brother will rise from the dead.” 24 Martha *said to Him, “(K)I know that he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, (L)I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me (M)will never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have come to believe that You are (N)the [c]Christ, the Son of God, and [d](O)He who comes into the world.”

38 So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, *came to the tomb. Now it was a (A)cave, and a stone was lying against it. 39 Jesus *said, “Remove the stone.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, *said to Him, “Lord, by this time [a]there will be a stench, for he has been dead (B)four days.” 40 Jesus *said to her, (C)Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” 41 So they removed the (D)stone. And Jesus (E)raised His eyes, and said, (F)Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 But I knew that You always hear Me; nevertheless, (G)because of the [b]people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that (H)You sent Me.” 43 And when He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 Out came the man who had died, (I)bound hand and foot with wrappings, and (J)his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus *said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”
