Psalm 98:4-102:7

⁴^(A)Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
    ^(B)break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
⁵Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre,
    with the lyre and the ^(C)sound of melody!
⁶With ^(D)trumpets and the sound of ^(E)the horn
    ^(F)make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!

⁷^(G)Let the sea roar, and ^(H)all that fills it;
    ^(I)the world and those who dwell in it!
⁸Let the rivers ^(J)clap their hands;
    let ^(K)the hills sing for joy together
⁹before the Lord, for he comes
    to ^(L)judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
    and the peoples with equity.

The Lord Our God Is Holy

99 ^(M)The Lord reigns; ^(N)let the peoples tremble!
    He ^(O)sits enthroned upon the cherubim; ^(P)let the earth quake!
²The Lord is ^(Q)great in Zion;
    he is ^(R)exalted over all the peoples.
³Let them praise your ^(S)great and awesome name!
    ^(T)Holy is he!
⁴^(U)The King in his might ^(V)loves justice.^[a]
    You have established equity;
you have executed justice
    and righteousness in Jacob.
⁵^(W)Exalt the Lord our God;
    ^(X)worship at his ^(Y)footstool!
    ^(Z)Holy is he!

⁶^(AA)Moses and Aaron were among his ^(AB)priests,
    Samuel also was among those who ^(AC)called upon his name.
    They ^(AD)called to the Lord, and he answered them.
⁷In ^(AE)the pillar of the cloud he spoke to them;
    they ^(AF)kept his testimonies
    and the statute that he gave them.

⁸O Lord our God, you answered them;
    you were ^(AG)a forgiving God to them,
    but ^(AH)an avenger of their wrongdoings.
⁹Exalt the Lord our God,
    and worship at his ^(AI)holy mountain;
    for the Lord our God is holy!

His Steadfast Love Endures Forever

100 ^(AK)Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
² ^(AL)Serve the Lord with gladness!
^(AM)Come into his presence with singing!

³Know that ^(AN)the Lord, he is God!
It is he who ^(AO)made us, and ^(AP)we are his;^[b]
we are his ^(AQ)people, and ^(AR)the sheep of his pasture.

⁴^(AS)Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his ^(AT)courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; ^(AU)bless his name!

⁵^(AV)For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his ^(AW)faithfulness to all generations.

I Will Walk with Integrity

101 I will sing of ^(AX)steadfast love and justice;
    to you, O Lord, I will make music.
²I will ^(AY)ponder the way ^(AZ)that is blameless.
    Oh when will you ^(BA)come to me?
I will ^(BB)walk with ^(BC)integrity of heart
    within my house;
³I will not set before my eyes
    anything ^(BD)that is worthless.
I hate the work of those who ^(BE)fall away;
    it shall not cling to me.
⁴^(BF)A perverse heart shall be far from me;
    I will ^(BG)know nothing of evil.

⁵Whoever slanders his neighbor ^(BH)secretly
I will ^(BI)destroy.
Whoever has a ^(BJ)haughty look and an ^(BK)arrogant heart
I will not endure.

⁶I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
he who walks in ^(BL)the way that is blameless
shall minister to me.

⁷No one who ^(BM)practices deceit
shall dwell in my house;
no one who utters lies
shall ^(BN)continue before my eyes.

⁸^(BO)Morning by morning I will destroy
all the wicked in the land,
^(BP)cutting off all ^(BQ)the evildoers
from ^(BR)the city of the Lord.

Do Not Hide Your Face from Me

102 ^(BU)Hear my prayer, O Lord;
let my cry ^(BV)come to you!
²^(BW)Do not hide your face from me
in ^(BX)the day of my distress!
^(BY)Incline your ear to me;
^(BZ)answer me speedily ^(CA)in the day when I call!

³For my days ^(CB)pass away like smoke,
    and my ^(CC)bones burn like a furnace.
⁴My heart is ^(CD)struck down like grass and ^(CE)has withered;
    I ^(CF)forget to eat my bread.
⁵Because of my loud groaning
    my ^(CG)bones cling to my flesh.
⁶I am like ^(CH)a desert owl of the wilderness,
    like an owl^[c] of the waste places;
⁷I ^(CI)lie awake;
    I am like a lonely sparrow on the housetop.
