⁶ Both great and small shall die in this land. ^(A)They shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them or ^(B)cut himself ^(C)or make himself bald for them.

⁷ No one shall ^(A)break bread for the mourner, to comfort him for the dead, nor shall anyone give him the cup of consolation to drink for his father or his mother.

⁹ And ^(A)if ten men remain in one house, they shall die.

¹⁰ And when one's relative, ^(A)the one who anoints him for burial, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house, “Is there still anyone with you?” he shall say, “No”; and he shall say, ^(B)“Silence! We must not mention the name of the Lord.”
