Restore Us, O God

To the choirmaster: according to ^(A)Lilies. A Testimony. Of ^(B)Asaph, a Psalm.

80 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,
    you who lead ^(C)Joseph like ^(D)a flock.
You who are ^(E)enthroned upon the cherubim, ^(F)shine forth.
²    Before ^(G)Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh,
^(H)stir up your might
    and ^(I)come to save us!

³^(J)Restore us,^[a] O God;
^(K)let your face shine, that we may be saved!

⁴O ^(L)Lord God of hosts,
    ^(M)how long will you be angry with your people's prayers?
⁵You have fed them with ^(N)the bread of tears
    and given them tears to drink in full measure.
⁶^(O)You make us an object of contention for our ^(P)neighbors,
    and our enemies laugh among themselves.

⁷^(Q)Restore us, O God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved!

⁸You brought ^(R)a vine out of Egypt;
    you ^(S)drove out the nations and planted it.
⁹You ^(T)cleared the ground for it;
    it took deep root and filled the land.
¹⁰The mountains were covered with its shade,
    the mighty cedars with its branches.
¹¹It sent out its branches to ^(U)the sea
    and its shoots to ^(V)the River.^[b]
¹²Why then have you ^(W)broken down its walls,
    so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit?
¹³^(X)The boar from the forest ravages it,
    and all that move in the field feed on it.

¹⁴Turn again, O God of hosts!
    ^(Y)Look down from heaven, and see;
have regard for this vine,
¹⁵    the stock that your right hand planted,
    and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.
¹⁶They have ^(Z)burned it with fire; they have ^(AA)cut it down;
    may they perish at ^(AB)the rebuke of your face!
¹⁷But ^(AC)let your hand be on the man of your right hand,
    the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself!
¹⁸Then we shall not turn back from you;
    ^(AD)give us life, and we will call upon your name!

¹⁹^(AE)Restore us, O Lord God of hosts!

Sabbath Regulations

35 Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, ^(A)“These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do. ²^(B)Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. ³^(C)You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.”

Contributions for the Tabernacle

⁴Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the Lord has commanded. ⁵^(D)Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. ^(E)Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the Lord's contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; ⁶blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; goats' hair, ⁷tanned rams' skins, and goatskins;^[a] acacia wood, ⁸oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, ⁹and onyx stones and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

¹⁰“Let ^(F)every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded: ¹¹^(G)the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; ¹²^(H)the ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the ^(I)veil of the screen; ¹³^(J)the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the ^(K)bread of the Presence; ¹⁴^(L)the lampstand also for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the ^(M)oil for the light; ¹⁵^(N)and the altar of incense, with its poles, ^(O)and the anointing oil and the ^(P)fragrant incense, and ^(Q)the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; ¹⁶^(R)the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils, the ^(S)basin and its stand; ¹⁷^(T)the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court; ¹⁸^(U)the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their ^(V)cords; ¹⁹the ^(W)finely worked garments for ministering^[b] in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests.”

²⁰Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. ²¹And they came, ^(X)everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, ^(Y)and brought the Lord's contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. ²²So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the Lord. ²³And ^(Z)every one who possessed ^(AA)blue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats' hair or tanned rams' skins or goatskins brought them. ²⁴^(AB)Everyone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord's contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it. ²⁵And every ^(AC)skillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. ²⁶All the women ^(AD)whose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats' hair. ²⁷And the ^(AE)leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece, ²⁸and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. ²⁹^(AF)All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the Lord.

Construction of the Tabernacle

³⁰^(AG)Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; ³¹and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with ^(AH)skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, ³²to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, ³³in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. ³⁴And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. ³⁵He has ^(AI)filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.

The Final Judgment

³¹^(A)“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, ^(B)then he will sit on his glorious throne. ³²Before him ^(C)will be gathered ^(D)all the nations, and ^(E)he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates ^(F)the sheep from the goats. ³³And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. ³⁴Then ^(G)the King will say to ^(H)those on his right, ‘Come, you ^(I)who are blessed by my Father, ^(J)inherit ^(K)the kingdom ^(L)prepared for you ^(M)from the foundation of the world. ³⁵For ^(N)I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you ^(O)gave me drink, ^(P)I was a stranger and you welcomed me, ³⁶^(Q)I was naked and you clothed me, ^(R)I was sick and you ^(S)visited me, ^(T)I was in prison and you came to me.’ ³⁷Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? ³⁸And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? ³⁹And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ ⁴⁰And ^(U)the King will answer them, ^(V)‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these ^(W)my brothers,^[a] you did it to me.’

⁴¹“Then he will say to those on his left, ^(X)‘Depart from me, you ^(Y)cursed, into ^(Z)the eternal fire prepared for ^(AA)the devil and his angels. ⁴²For ^(AB)I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, ⁴³I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ ⁴⁴Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ ⁴⁵Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, ^(AC)you did not do it to me.’ ⁴⁶And these will go away ^(AD)into eternal punishment, but the righteous ^(AE)into ^(AF)eternal life.”
