Praise for God’s Mighty Deeds and for His Answer to Prayer.

For the choir director. A Song. A Psalm.

66 (A)Shout joyfully to God, all the earth;
Sing the (B)glory of His name;
Make His (C)praise glorious.
Say to God, “How (D)awesome are Your works!
Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will [a](E)give feigned obedience to You.
(F)All the earth will worship You,
And will (G)sing praises to You;
They will sing praises to Your name.” [b]Selah.

(H)Come and see the works of God,
Who is (I)awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.
He (J)turned the sea into dry land;
They passed through (K)the river on foot;
There let us (L)rejoice in Him!
He (M)rules by His might forever;
His (N)eyes keep watch on the nations;
Let not the rebellious (O)exalt themselves. Selah.

Bless our God, O peoples,
And [c](P)sound His praise abroad,
Who [d](Q)keeps us in life
And (R)does not allow our feet to [e]slip.
10 For You have (S)tried us, O God;
You have (T)refined us as silver is refined.
11 You (U)brought us into the net;
You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins.
12 You made men (V)ride over our heads;
We went through (W)fire and through water,
Yet You (X)brought us out into a place of abundance.
13 I shall (Y)come into Your house with burnt offerings;
I shall (Z)pay You my vows,
14 Which my lips uttered
And my mouth spoke when I was (AA)in distress.
15 I shall (AB)offer to You burnt offerings of fat beasts,
With the smoke of (AC)rams;
I shall make an offering of [f]bulls with male goats. Selah.

16 (AD)Come and hear, all who [g]fear God,
And I will (AE)tell of what He has done for my soul.
17 I cried to Him with my mouth,
And [h]He was (AF)extolled with my tongue.
18 If I [i](AG)regard wickedness in my heart,
The (AH)Lord [j]will not [k]hear;
19 But certainly (AI)God has heard;
He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
20 (AJ)Blessed be God,
Who (AK)has not turned away my prayer
Nor His lovingkindness from me.

The Nations Exhorted to Praise God.

For the choir director; with stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.

67 God be gracious to us and (AL)bless us,
And (AM)cause His face to shine [l]upon us— [m]Selah.
That (AN)Your way may be known on the earth,
(AO)Your salvation among all nations.
Let the (AP)peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
Let the (AQ)nations be glad and sing for joy;
For You will (AR)judge the peoples with uprightness
And (AS)guide the nations on the earth. Selah.
Let the (AT)peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
The (AU)earth has yielded its produce;
God, our God, (AV)blesses us.
God blesses us,
[n]That (AW)all the ends of the earth may fear Him.

The God of Sinai and of the Sanctuary.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

68 [o]Let (AX)God arise, [p]let His enemies be scattered,
And [q]let those who hate Him flee before Him.
As (AY)smoke is driven away, so drive them away;
As (AZ)wax melts before the fire,
So let the (BA)wicked perish before God.
But let the (BB)righteous be glad; let them exult before God;
Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
Sing to God, (BC)sing praises to His name;
[r](BD)Lift up a song for Him who (BE)rides through the deserts,
Whose (BF)name is [s]the Lord, and exult before Him.

A (BG)father of the fatherless and a (BH)judge [t]for the widows,
Is God in His (BI)holy habitation.
God [u](BJ)makes a home for the lonely;
He (BK)leads out the prisoners into prosperity,
Only (BL)the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

O God, when You (BM)went forth before Your people,
When You (BN)marched through the wilderness, [v]Selah.
The (BO)earth quaked;
The (BP)heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God;
[w](BQ)Sinai itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
You (BR)shed abroad a plentiful rain, O God;
You confirmed Your inheritance when it was [x]parched.
10 Your creatures settled in it;
You (BS)provided in Your goodness for the poor, O God.

11 The Lord gives the [y]command;
The (BT)women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host:
12 (BU)Kings of armies flee, they flee,
And she who remains at home will (BV)divide the spoil!”
13 [z]When you lie down (BW)among the [aa]sheepfolds,
You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver,
And its pinions with glistening gold.
14 When the Almighty (BX)scattered the kings [ab]there,
It was snowing in (BY)Zalmon.

15 A [ac](BZ)mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan;
A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
16 Why do you look with envy, O mountains with many peaks,
At the mountain which God has (CA)desired for His abode?
Surely (CB)the Lord will dwell there forever.
17 The (CC)chariots of God are [ad]myriads, (CD)thousands upon thousands;
[ae]The Lord is among them as at Sinai, in holiness.
18 You have (CE)ascended on high, You have (CF)led captive Your captives;
You have received gifts among men,
Even among the rebellious also, that [af]the Lord God may dwell there.

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily (CG)bears our burden,
(CH)The God who is our salvation. Selah.
20 God is to us a (CI)God of deliverances;
And (CJ)to [ag]God the Lord belong escapes [ah]from death.
21 Surely God will (CK)shatter the head of His enemies,
The hairy crown of him who goes on in his guilty deeds.
22 The Lord [ai]said, “(CL)I will bring them back from Bashan.
I will bring them back from the depths of the sea;
23 That [aj](CM)your foot may shatter them in blood,
The tongue of your (CN)dogs may have its portion from your enemies.”

24 They have seen (CO)Your [ak]procession, O God,
The [al]procession of my God, my King, [am](CP)into the sanctuary.
25 The (CQ)singers went on, the musicians after them,
[an]In the midst of the (CR)maidens beating tambourines.
26 (CS)Bless God in the congregations,
Even the Lord, you who are of the (CT)fountain of Israel.
27 There is (CU)Benjamin, the [ao]youngest, [ap]ruling them,
The princes of Judah in their throng,
The princes of (CV)Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

28 [aq]Your God has (CW)commanded your strength;
Show Yourself strong, O God, (CX)who have acted [ar]on our behalf.
29 [as]Because of Your temple at Jerusalem
(CY)Kings will bring gifts to You.
30 Rebuke the (CZ)beasts [at]in the reeds,
The herd of (DA)bulls with the calves of the peoples,
Trampling under foot the pieces of silver;
He has (DB)scattered the peoples who delight in war.
31 Envoys will come out of (DC)Egypt;
[au](DD)Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.

32 Sing to God, O (DE)kingdoms of the earth,
(DF)Sing praises to the Lord, Selah.
33 To Him who (DG)rides upon the [av](DH)highest heavens, which are from ancient times;
Behold, (DI)He [aw]speaks forth with His voice, a (DJ)mighty voice.
34 (DK)Ascribe strength to God;
His majesty is over Israel
And (DL)His strength is in the [ax]skies.
35 [ay]O God, You are (DM)awesome from Your [az]sanctuary.
The God of Israel Himself (DN)gives strength and power to the people.
(DO)Blessed be God!

Fellow Workers

Masters, grant to your slaves justice and fairness, (A)knowing that you too have a Master in heaven.

(B)Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time (C)for us as well, that God will open up to us a (D)door for (E)the word, so that we may speak forth (F)the mystery of Christ, for which I have also (G)been imprisoned; that I may make it clear (H)in the way I ought to speak.

[a](I)Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward (J)outsiders, [b](K)making the most of the opportunity. (L)Let your speech always be [c]with grace, as though seasoned with (M)salt, so that you will know how you should (N)respond to each person.

(O)As to all my affairs, (P)Tychicus, our (Q)beloved brother and faithful servant and fellow bond-servant in the Lord, will bring you information. (R)For I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about our circumstances and that he may (S)encourage your hearts; [d]and with him (T)Onesimus, our faithful and (U)beloved brother, (V)who is one of your number. They will inform you about the whole situation here.

10 (W)Aristarchus, my (X)fellow prisoner, sends you his greetings; and also (Y)Barnabas’s cousin Mark (about whom you received [e]instructions; (Z)if he comes to you, welcome him); 11 and also Jesus who is called Justus; these are the only (AA)fellow workers for the kingdom of God (AB)who are from the circumcision, and they have proved to be an encouragement to me. 12 (AC)Epaphras, (AD)who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always (AE)laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may [f]stand [g](AF)perfect and [h]fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I testify for him that he has [i]a deep concern for you and for those who are in (AG)Laodicea and Hierapolis. 14 (AH)Luke, the beloved physician, sends you his greetings, and also (AI)Demas. 15 Greet the brethren who are in (AJ)Laodicea and also [j]Nympha and (AK)the church that is in [k]her house. 16 (AL)When [l]this letter is read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and you, for your part (AM)read [m]my letter that is coming from (AN)Laodicea. 17 Say to (AO)Archippus, “Take heed to the (AP)ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may [n]fulfill it.”

18 [o]I, Paul, (AQ)write this greeting with my own hand. (AR)Remember my [p](AS)imprisonment. (AT)Grace be with you.
