Psalm 63-65
New American Standard Bible 1995
The Thirsting Soul Satisfied in God.
A Psalm of David, [a]when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
63 O God, (A)You are my God; I shall seek You [b]earnestly;
My soul (B)thirsts for You, my flesh [c]yearns for You,
In a (C)dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 Thus I have (D)seen You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
3 Because Your (E)lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
4 So I will bless You (F)as long as I live;
I will (G)lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul is (H)satisfied as with [d]marrow and fatness,
And my mouth offers (I)praises with joyful lips.
6 When I remember You (J)on my bed,
I meditate on You in the (K)night watches,
7 For (L)You have been my help,
And in the (M)shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
8 My soul (N)clings [e]to You;
Your (O)right hand upholds me.
9 But those who (P)seek my [f]life to destroy it,
Will go into the [g](Q)depths of the earth.
10 [h]They will be [i](R)delivered over to the power of the sword;
They will be a [j](S)prey for foxes.
11 But the (T)king will rejoice in God;
Everyone who (U)swears by Him will glory,
For the (V)mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.
Prayer for Deliverance from Secret Enemies.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
64 Hear my voice, O God, in (W)my [k]complaint;
(X)Preserve my life from dread of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the (Y)secret counsel of evildoers,
From the tumult of (Z)those who do iniquity,
3 Who (AA)have sharpened their tongue like a sword.
They (AB)aimed bitter speech as their arrow,
4 To (AC)shoot [l]from concealment at the blameless;
Suddenly they shoot at him, and (AD)do not fear.
5 They [m]hold fast to themselves an evil purpose;
They [n]talk of (AE)laying snares secretly;
They say, “(AF)Who can see them?”
6 They [o]devise injustices, saying,
“We are [p]ready with a well-conceived plot”;
For the [q](AG)inward thought and the heart of a man are [r]deep.
7 But (AH)God [s]will shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly [t]they will be wounded.
8 So [u]they [v]will (AI)make him stumble;
(AJ)Their own tongue is against them;
All who see them will (AK)shake the head.
9 Then all men [w]will (AL)fear,
And they [x]will (AM)declare the work of God,
And [y]will consider [z]what He has done.
10 The righteous man will be (AN)glad in the Lord and will (AO)take refuge in Him;
And all the upright in heart will glory.
God’s Abundant Favor to Earth and Man.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song.
65 There will be silence [aa]before You, and praise in Zion, O God,
And to You the (AP)vow will be performed.
2 O You who hear prayer,
To You (AQ)all [ab]men come.
3 [ac](AR)Iniquities prevail against me;
As for our transgressions, You [ad](AS)forgive them.
4 How (AT)blessed is the one whom You (AU)choose and bring near to You
To dwell in Your courts.
We will be (AV)satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Your holy temple.
5 By (AW)awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O (AX)God of our salvation,
You who are the trust of all the (AY)ends of the earth and of the farthest [ae](AZ)sea;
6 Who (BA)establishes the mountains by His strength,
Being (BB)girded with might;
7 Who (BC)stills the roaring of the seas,
The roaring of their waves,
And the (BD)tumult of the peoples.
8 They who dwell in the (BE)ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs;
You make the [af]dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
9 You visit the earth and (BF)cause it to overflow;
You greatly (BG)enrich it;
The [ag](BH)stream of God is full of water;
You prepare their (BI)grain, for thus You prepare [ah]the earth.
10 You water its furrows abundantly,
You [ai]settle its ridges,
You soften it (BJ)with showers,
You bless its growth.
11 You have crowned the year [aj]with Your [ak](BK)bounty,
And Your [al]paths (BL)drip with fatness.
12 (BM)The pastures of the wilderness drip,
And the (BN)hills gird themselves with rejoicing.
13 The meadows are (BO)clothed with flocks
And the valleys are (BP)covered with grain;
They (BQ)shout for joy, yes, they sing.

Colossians 3
New American Standard Bible 1995
Put On the New Self
3 Therefore if you have been (A)raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, (B)seated at the right hand of God. 2 [a](C)Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have (D)died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, (E)who is our life, is revealed, (F)then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
5 (G)Therefore [b]consider (H)the members of your earthly body as dead to [c](I)immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which [d]amounts to idolatry. 6 For it is because of these things that (J)the wrath of God will come [e]upon the sons of disobedience, 7 and (K)in them you also once walked, when you were living [f]in them. 8 But now you also, (L)put them all aside: (M)anger, wrath, malice, slander, and (N)abusive speech from your mouth. 9 [g](O)Do not lie to one another, since you (P)laid aside the old [h]self with its evil practices, 10 and have (Q)put on the new self who is being [i](R)renewed to a true knowledge (S)according to the image of the One who (T)created him— 11 a renewal in which (U)there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, (V)circumcised and uncircumcised, [j](W)barbarian, Scythian, (X)slave and freeman, but (Y)Christ is all, and in all.
12 So, as those who have been (Z)chosen of God, holy and beloved, (AA)put on a (AB)heart of compassion, kindness, (AC)humility, gentleness and [k](AD)patience; 13 (AE)bearing with one another, and (AF)forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; (AG)just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is [l](AH)the perfect bond of (AI)unity. 15 Let (AJ)the peace of Christ [m]rule in your hearts, to which [n]indeed you were called in (AK)one body; and [o]be thankful. 16 Let (AL)the word of [p]Christ richly dwell within you, [q]with all wisdom (AM)teaching and admonishing [r]one another (AN)with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, (AO)singing [s]with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 (AP)Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, (AQ)giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Family Relations
18 (AR)Wives, (AS)be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 (AT)Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them. 20 (AU)Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing [t]to the Lord. 21 (AV)Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart.
22 (AW)Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters [u]on earth, (AX)not with [v]external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, do your work [w]heartily, (AY)as for the Lord [x]rather than for men, 24 (AZ)knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward [y]of (BA)the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you (BB)serve. 25 For (BC)he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and [z](BD)that without partiality.
