Psalm 23:1-4
New King James Version
The Lord the Shepherd of His People
A Psalm of David.
23 The Lord is (A)my shepherd;
(B)I shall not [a]want.
2 (C)He makes me to lie down in [b]green pastures;
(D)He leads me beside the [c]still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
(E)He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of (F)the shadow of death,
(G)I will fear no evil;
(H)For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

And (A)His arm shall rule for Him;
Behold, (B)His reward is with Him,
And His [b]work before Him.
11 He will (C)feed His flock like a shepherd;
He will gather the lambs with His arm,
And carry them in His bosom,
And gently lead those who are with young.

New King James Version
10 “Hear the word of the Lord, O nations,
And declare it in the [a]isles afar off, and say,
‘He who scattered Israel (A)will gather him,
And keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’
11 For (B)the Lord has redeemed Jacob,
And ransomed him (C)from the hand of one stronger than he.
12 Therefore they shall come and sing in (D)the height of Zion,
Streaming to (E)the goodness of the Lord—
For wheat and new wine and oil,
For the young of the flock and the herd;
Their souls shall be like a (F)well-watered garden,
(G)And they shall sorrow no more at all.
