Gimel

17 (A)Deal generously with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold
Wonderful things from Your Law.
19 I am a (B)stranger on the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.
20 My soul is crushed [a](C)with longing
For Your ordinances at all times.
21 You (D)rebuke the arrogant, [b]the (E)cursed,
Who (F)wander from Your commandments.
22 (G)Take disgrace and contempt away from me,
For I (H)comply with Your testimonies.
23 Even though (I)rulers sit and speak against me,
Your servant (J)meditates on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies also are my (K)delight;
They are [c]my advisers.

    para que eu veja as maravilhas da tua lei.
19 Sou peregrino na terra;
não escondas de mim os teus
    mandamentos.
20 A minha alma consome-se de perene desejo
    das tuas ordenanças.
21 Tu repreendes os arrogantes;
malditos os que se desviam
    dos teus mandamentos!
22 Tira de mim a afronta e o desprezo,
pois obedeço aos teus estatutos.
23 Mesmo que os poderosos se reúnam
    para conspirar contra mim,
ainda assim o teu servo meditará
    nos teus decretos.
24 Sim, os teus testemunhos são o meu prazer;
eles são os meus conselheiros.
