1 Blessed ^(A)is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ^[a]ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
^(B)Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
² But ^(C)his delight is in the law of the Lord,
^(D)And in His law he ^[b]meditates day and night.
³ He shall be like a tree
^(E)Planted by the ^[c]rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall ^(F)prosper.

60 Arise, ^(A)shine;
For your light has come!
And ^(B)the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
² For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
³ The ^(C)Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.

61 “The ^(A)Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord ^(B)has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me ^(C)to ^[a]heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim ^(D)liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
^2 (E)To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And ^(F)the day of vengeance of our God;
^(G)To comfort all who mourn,
³ To ^[b]console those who mourn in Zion,
^(H)To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
^(I)The planting of the Lord, ^(J)that He may be glorified.”
