Psalm 88:3-12
New American Standard Bible
3 For my (A)soul has [a]had enough troubles,
And (B)my life has approached [b]Sheol.
4 I am counted among those who (C)go down to the pit;
I have become like a man (D)without strength,
5 [c]Abandoned (E)among the dead,
Like the slain who lie in the grave,
Whom You no longer remember,
And they are (F)cut off from Your hand.
6 You have put me in (G)the lowest pit,
In (H)dark places, in the (I)depths.
7 Your wrath (J)has rested upon me,
And You have afflicted me with (K)all Your waves. Selah
8 You have removed (L)my acquaintances far from me;
You have made me an [d](M)object of loathing to them;
I am (N)shut up and cannot go out.
9 My (O)eye grows dim from misery;
I have (P)called upon You every day, Lord;
I have (Q)spread out my [e]hands to You.
10 Will You perform wonders for the dead?
Or will (R)the departed spirits rise and praise You? Selah
11 Will Your graciousness be declared in the grave,
Your faithfulness in [f]Abaddon?
12 Will Your wonders be made known in the (S)darkness?
And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
