Doamne, Stăpânul nostru,
    cât de maiestuos este Numele Tău pe întreg pământul!
        Fie înălţată slava Ta mai presus de ceruri![b]

Din gura copiilor şi a celor ce sunt alăptaţi
    ai întemeiat o fortăreaţă
împotriva duşmanilor Tăi,
    ca să fie astfel reduşi la tăcere vrăjmaşul şi răzbunătorul.

Când privesc cerurile,
    lucrarea mâinilor Tale,
        luna şi stelele pe care le-ai zidit, îmi zic:

Through the praise of children and infants
    you have established a stronghold(D) against your enemies,
    to silence the foe(E) and the avenger.
