Psalmul 70
Către mai-marele cântăreţilor.
Un psalm al lui David. Ca aducere-aminte
1 Grăbeşte, Dumnezeule(A), de mă izbăveşte!
Grăbeşte de-mi ajută, Doamne!
2 Să rămână de ruşine(B) şi înfruntaţi
cei ce vor să-mi ia viaţa!
Să dea înapoi şi să roşească
cei ce-mi doresc pieirea!
3 Să se întoarcă(C) înapoi de ruşine cei ce zic: „Aha, Aha!”
4 Toţi cei ce Te caută să se veselească şi să se bucure în Tine!
Cei ce iubesc mântuirea Ta să zică neîncetat: „Preamărit să fie Dumnezeu!”
5 Eu(D) sunt sărac şi lipsit: grăbeşte(E) să-mi ajuţi, Dumnezeule.
Tu eşti Ajutorul şi Izbăvitorul meu:
Doamne, nu zăbovi!

King James Version
70 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.
2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.
