Psalmi 51
Biblija: suvremeni hrvatski prijevod
Molitva za oproštenje i obnovu
Voditelju zbora. Psalam koji je ispjevao David kad mu je došao prorok Natan, poslije Davidova grijeha s Bat Šebom.
51 Smiluj mi se, Bože,
    zbog svoje vjerne ljubavi.
Zbog svoje velike milosti,
    izbriši moje prijestupe.
2 Svu moju krivnju operi
    i od grijeha me očisti.
3 Jer, znam svoje prekršaje
    i stalno sam svjestan grijeha.
4 Protiv tebe sam sagriješio
i učinio što je pred tobom zlo.
U pravu si kad donosiš odluku,
    besprijekoran kad izričeš presudu.
5 Već kad sam se rodio, bio sam kriv,
još kad me majka začela, bio sam grešnik.
6 Ti želiš vjernost u nutrini mog bića,
mudrosti me učiš u dubini srca.
7 Ukloni moje grijehe[a] da budem čist,
operi me da budem bjelji od snijega.
8 Daj da osjetim radost i veselje,
da se raduju kosti od tebe smrvljene.
9 Ne gledaj više moje grijehe
    i izbriši sve moje prekršaje.
10 Bože, čisto srce mi stvori,
    duh vjeran u meni obnovi.
11 Nemoj me odbaciti iz svoje prisutnosti,
svog Svetog Duha nemoj mi uzeti.
12 Vrati mi radost tvojeg spasenja,
daj mi duh koji te želi slušati.
13 Tada ću prijestupnike tvojim zapovijedima poučavati
i grešnici će ti se vraćati.
14 Oslobodi me krivnje za prolivenu krv,
jer ti si Bog koji me može spasiti,
pa ću o tvojoj dobroti pjevati.
15 Gospodaru, moje usne rastvori,
iz mojih će ti usta hvalospjev poteći.
16 Jer, ti se ne raduješ žrtvama:
    kad bih ti paljenicu prinio,
    ti je ne bi prihvatio.
17 Žrtva Bogu je duh ponizni:
    srce meko i slomljeno, Bože,
    ti nećeš prezreti.
18 U svojoj naklonosti budi dobar Sionu,
    ponovo izgradi zidine Jeruzalemu.
19 Tada ćeš se radovati pravim žrtvama[b].
Bit će to čitave žrtve paljenice,
na tvom žrtveniku prinosit će junce.
Psalm 51
GOD’S WORD Translation
For the choir director; a psalm by David when the prophet Nathan came to him after David’s adultery with Bathsheba.
51 Have pity on me, O God, in keeping with your mercy.
In keeping with your unlimited compassion, wipe out my rebellious acts.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my guilt,
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 I admit that I am rebellious.
My sin is always in front of me.
4 I have sinned against you, especially you.
I have done what you consider evil.
So you hand down justice when you speak,
and you are blameless when you judge.
5 Indeed, I was born guilty.
I was a sinner when my mother conceived me.
6 Yet, you desire truth and sincerity.
Deep down inside me you teach me wisdom.
7 Purify me from sin with hyssop,[a] and I will be clean.[b]
Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear ⌞sounds of⌟ joy and gladness.
Let the bones that you have broken dance.
9 Hide your face from my sins,
and wipe out all that I have done wrong.
10 Create a clean heart in me, O God,
and renew a faithful spirit within me.
11 Do not force me away from your presence,
and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore the joy of your salvation to me,
and provide me with a spirit of willing obedience.
13 ⌞Then⌟ I will teach your ways to those who are rebellious,
and sinners will return to you.
14 Rescue me from the guilt of murder,
O God, my savior.
Let my tongue sing joyfully about your righteousness!
15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will tell about your praise.
16 You are not happy with any sacrifice.
Otherwise, I would offer one ⌞to you⌟.
You are not pleased with burnt offerings.
17 The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit.
O God, you do not despise a broken and sorrowful heart.
18 Favor Zion with your goodness.
Rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then you will be pleased with sacrifices offered in the right spirit—
with burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings.
Young bulls will be offered on your altar.
Psalm 51
New King James Version
A Prayer of Repentance
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David (A)when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
51 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
(B)Blot out my transgressions.
2 (C)Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 (D)Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil (E)in Your sight—
(F)That You may be found just [a]when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.
5 (G)Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
7 (H)Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be (I)whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken (J)may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.
10 (K)Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your (L)Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your (M)generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For (N)You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 (O)The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then You shall be pleased with (P)the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.
