4 Odgovori mi kad te zovem,
Bože, koji me opravdavaš!
Olakšao si moje nevolje.
Smiluj se i čuj moje molitve.
2 Dokad ćete, ugledni ljudi,
moje dostojanstvo blatiti?
Zar ćete tratiti vrijeme
i protiv mene smišljati laži? Selah
3 Znajte da BOG čuva svoje vjerne.
BOG me čuje kad mu se molim.
4 Budite ljuti na mene,
ali ne činite grijeh.
Promislite dok ležite u krevetu,
ali ništa ne govorite. Selah
5 Prinesite BOGU prave žrtve,
u njega se pouzdajte.
6 Mnogo ih je koji govore:
»Želimo živjeti sretno,
budi nam dobar,[a] BOŽE.«
7 Ali, zbog tebe, ja imam više radosti
nego oni zbog svoga žita i vina.
8 Kada legnem, mirno spavam
jer ti mi pružaš sigurnost, BOŽE.

Yahweh Makes Me Abide in Safety

4 (A)Answer me when (B)I call, O God [b]of my righteousness!
You have [c](C)relieved me in my distress;
Be (D)gracious to me and (E)hear my prayer.
2 O sons of men, how long will (F)my glory become (G)a reproach?
How long will you love (H)what is worthless and seek (I)falsehood? [d]Selah.
3 But know that Yahweh has [e](J)set apart the (K)holy one for Himself;
Yahweh (L)hears when I call to Him.
4 [f](M)Tremble, [g](N)and do not sin;
[h](O)Ponder in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
5 Offer [i]the (P)sacrifices of righteousness,
And (Q)trust in Yahweh.
6 Many are saying, “(R)Who will show us good?”
(S)Lift up the light of Your face upon us, O Yahweh!
7 You have put (T)gladness in my heart,
More than when their grain and new wine abound.
8 In peace I will [j]both (U)lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O Yahweh, make me to (V)abide in safety.
