Psalm 93
1 De Heer regeert.
Hij heeft de hoogste macht.
Hij is de machtigste Koning.
Daardoor staat de wereld stevig.
2 U bent er altijd geweest.
Al vanaf het eerste begin bent U Koning.
U regeert voor eeuwig.
3 Rivieren bruisen, Heer,
rivieren bruisen en schuimen.
4 Maar machtiger dan de stem van het water,
machtiger dan het gebulder van de zee,
is de machtige Heer in de hemel.
5 Uw woorden zijn te vertrouwen.
De plaats waar U woont, is heilig, voor eeuwig.

93 The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4 The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.

The Majesty of God’s Rule
93 [a]The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty;
the Lord is robed, he is girded with strength.
Yea, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
2 thy throne is established from of old;
thou art from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
the floods have lifted up their voice,
the floods lift up their roaring.
4 Mightier than the thunders of many waters,
mightier than the waves[b] of the sea,
the Lord on high is mighty!
5 Thy decrees are very sure;
holiness befits thy house,
O Lord, for evermore.
