Zion, die Geburtsstadt von Menschen aus allen Völkern

87 Von den Korachitern[a]. Ein Psalm. Ein Lied.

Auf heiligen Berghöhen hat er sie gegründet –
2 der Herr liebt die Stadt Zion mit ihren Toren,
mehr als alle anderen Wohnstätten Jakobs[b].
3 Herrliches ist über dich verheißen, du Stadt Gottes![c]

4 ´Gott sagt zu dir`:
Ich erkläre feierlich, dass Ägypten[d] und Babel einmal zu denen gehören werden, die sich zu mir bekennen;
das gilt auch für das Philisterland, Tyrus und Äthiopien.
´In all diesen Ländern wird es Menschen geben, von denen es heißen wird`:
Diese sind dort, ´in Zion`, geboren.[e]

5 Und von der Stadt Zion selbst wird man einst sagen:
Ein Mensch nach dem anderen wurde dort geboren.[f]
Er, der Höchste, verleiht ihr sicheren Bestand.

6 Wenn der Herr Menschen aus allen Völkern in sein Buch einträgt, wird er sagen:[g]
»Diese wurden in Zion geboren.«

7 Sie alle werden tanzen und singen:
»Alle Quellen, von denen ich lebe[h], sind in dir!«

  6. Psalmen 87:5 Aü Doch Zion nenne ich Mutter, Mensch um Mensch ist dort geboren. Die Septuaginta übersetzt: Mutter Zion, wird man sagen, und man wurde in ihr geboren.

Er hat sie fest gegründet auf heiligen Bergen;
2 der Herr liebt die Tore Zions mehr als alle Wohnungen Jakobs.
3 Herrliche Dinge sind von dir zu melden, du Stadt Gottes! - (Pause.)
4 Ich nenne Rahab[a] und Babel denen[b], die mich kennen; siehe, Philistäa und Tyrus und das Mohrenland: „Dieser ist dort geboren!“
5 Aber von Zion wird man sagen: „Mann für Mann ist in ihr geboren,
und der Höchste selbst wird sie befestigen!“
6 Der Herr wird zählen, wenn er die Völker verzeichnet:“Dieser ist dort geboren.“ - (Pause.)
7 Und man singt und spielt: Alle meine Quellen sind in dir!

87 His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2     Yahweh loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3 Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Selah.
4 I will record Rahab[a] and Babylon among those who acknowledge me.
    Behold, Philistia, Tyre, and also Ethiopia:
    “This one was born there.”
5 Yes, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one was born in her;”
    the Most High himself will establish her.
6 Yahweh will count, when he writes up the peoples,
    “This one was born there.” Selah.
7 Those who sing as well as those who dance say,
    “All my springs are in you.”

1 He has founded his city on the holy mountain.(A)
2 The Lord loves the gates of Zion(B)
    more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are said of you,
    city of God:[a](C)
4 “I will record Rahab[b](D) and Babylon
    among those who acknowledge me—
Philistia(E) too, and Tyre(F), along with Cush[c]—
    and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’”[d](G)
5 Indeed, of Zion it will be said,
    “This one and that one were born in her,
    and the Most High himself will establish her.”
6 The Lord will write in the register(H) of the peoples:
    “This one was born in Zion.”

7 As they make music(I) they will sing,
    “All my fountains(J) are in you.”
