1 Dem Vorsänger.[a] Mit Saitenspiel. Ein Psalm Davids.
2 Antworte mir auf mein Schreien, du Gott meiner Gerechtigkeit[b]!
In der Bedrängnis hast du mir Raum gemacht;
sei mir gnädig und erhöre mein Gebet!
3 Ihr Männer, wie lange noch soll meine Ehre geschändet werden?
Wie habt ihr das Nichtige so lieb und die Lüge so gern! (Sela.)
4 Erkennt doch, dass der Herr den Getreuen[c] für sich erwählt hat![d]
Der Herr wird hören, wenn ich zu ihm rufe.
5 Erzittert und sündigt nicht!
Denkt nach in eurem Herzen auf eurem Lager und seid still! (Sela.)
6 Bringt Opfer der Gerechtigkeit
und vertraut auf den Herrn!
7 Viele sagen: Wer wird uns Gutes sehen lassen?
O Herr, erhebe über uns das Licht deines Angesichts!
8 Du hast mir Freude in mein Herz gegeben,
die größer ist als ihre, wenn sie Korn und Most in Fülle haben.
9 Ich werde mich in Frieden niederlegen und schlafen;
denn du allein, Herr, lässt mich sicher wohnen.

2 Quand je crie, réponds-moi, Dieu de ma justice!
Quand je suis dans la détresse, sauve-moi!
Aie pitié de moi, écoute ma prière!
3 Fils des hommes, jusqu’à quand ma gloire sera-t-elle outragée?
Jusqu’à quand aimerez-vous la vanité,
Chercherez-vous le mensonge? – Pause.
4 Sachez que l’Eternel s’est choisi un homme pieux;
L’Eternel entend, quand je crie à lui.
5 Tremblez, et ne péchez point[a];
Parlez en vos cœurs sur votre couche, puis taisez-vous. – Pause.
6 Offrez des sacrifices de justice,
Et confiez-vous en l’Eternel.
7 Plusieurs disent: Qui nous fera voir le bonheur?
Fais lever sur nous la lumière de ta face, ô Eternel!
8 Tu mets dans mon cœur plus de joie qu’ils n’en ont
Quand abondent leur froment et leur moût.
9 Je me couche et je m’endors en paix,
Car toi seul, ô Eternel! tu me donnes la sécurité dans ma demeure.

4 Answer me when I pray to you,
my God who does what is right.
Lift the load that I carry.
Be kind to me and hear my prayer.
2 People, how long will you turn my honor into shame?
You love what is false, and you look for new lies. Selah
3 You know that the Lord has chosen for himself those who are loyal to him.
The Lord listens when I pray to him.
4 When you are angry, do not sin.
Think about these things quietly
as you go to bed. Selah
5 Do what is right as a sacrifice to the Lord.
And trust the Lord.
6 Many people ask,
“Who will give us anything good?
Lord, be kind to us.”
7 But you have made me very happy.
I am happier than they are,
even with all their grain and wine.
8 I go to bed and sleep in peace.
Lord, only you keep me safe.

2 How long will you people turn my glory(E) into shame?(F)
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[b]?[c](G)
3 Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant(H) for himself;
the Lord hears(I) when I call to him.
4 Tremble and[d] do not sin;(J)
when you are on your beds,(K)
search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
and trust in the Lord.(L)
