Het Boek
130 Een bedevaartslied.
Ik zit zo diep in de put, Here,
en ik roep naar U.
2 Luister naar mij, Here.
Laten uw oren naar mij luisteren.
3 Here, als U al onze zonden blijft onthouden,
kunnen wij immers niet blijven leven?
4 Maar ik weet dat U vergeeft,
zodat iedereen ontzag voor U zal hebben.
5 Ik verwacht alles van de Here.
Ik ken zijn woord en heb er alle vertrouwen in.
6 Ik zie uit naar de Here.
Ik zie naar Hem uit met nog meer verlangen
dan de nachtwachter uitkijkt naar de nieuwe morgen.
7 Laten de Israëlieten al hun vertrouwen op de Here stellen,
want de Here is rijk aan goedheid en liefde.
Hij zorgt voor de bevrijding.
8 Hij zal het volk Israël bevrijden
van al zijn zonden.

130 Duboko sam zaglibio
i tebi, BOŽE, vapim.
2 Gospodaru, slušaj moj glas,
čuj moj poziv upomoć.
3 Da ti grijehe pamtiš, BOŽE,
tko bi tada ostao živ?
4 Ali ti opraštaš ljudima
da bi te mogli poštovati.
5 Čekam pomoć od BOGA.
Moja duša ga iščekuje.
Njegovoj riječi vjerujem.
6 Moja duša žarko čeka Gospodara
više nego noćna straža svitanje.
7 Izraele, svu nadu položi u BOGA.
Jer, BOG je vjeran u svojoj ljubavi,
on opet iznova prašta i spašava.
8 On je taj koji će spasiti Izrael
od svih njihovih grijeha.

1 Out of the depths(A) I cry to you,(B) Lord;
2 Lord, hear my voice.(C)
Let your ears be attentive(D)
to my cry for mercy.(E)
3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?(F)
4 But with you there is forgiveness,(G)
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.(H)

130 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
