Psalm 107
1 »Dankt dem Herrn, denn er ist gütig[a],
denn seine Gnade währt ewiglich!«
2 So sollen sagen die Erlösten des Herrn,
die er erlöst hat aus der Hand des Bedrängers
3 und die er gesammelt hat aus den Ländern,
von Osten und von Westen, von Norden und vom Meer.
4 Sie irrten umher in der Wüste, auf ödem Weg;
sie fanden keine Stadt, in der sie wohnen konnten.
5 Hungrig und durstig waren sie,
ihre Seele verschmachtete in ihnen.
6 Da schrien sie zum Herrn in ihrer Not,
und er rettete sie aus ihren Ängsten
7 und führte sie auf den rechten Weg,
dass sie zu einer Stadt gelangten, in der sie wohnen konnten.
8 Sie sollen dem Herrn danken für seine Gnade
und für seine Wunder an den Menschenkindern!
9 Denn er hat die durstige Seele getränkt
und die hungrige Seele mit Gutem erfüllt!
10 Die in Finsternis und Todesschatten saßen,
gebunden in Elend und Eisen,
11 weil sie den Worten Gottes widerstrebt
und den Rat des Höchsten verachtet hatten,
12 sodass er ihr Herz durch Unglück beugte —
sie strauchelten, und niemand half ihnen.
13 Da schrien sie zum Herrn in ihrer
Not,
und er rettete sie aus ihren Ängsten.
14 Er führte sie heraus aus Finsternis und Todesschatten
und zerriss ihre Fesseln.
15 Sie sollen dem Herrn danken für seine Gnade
und für seine Wunder an den Menschenkindern.
16 Denn er hat eherne Türen zerbrochen
und eiserne Riegel zerschlagen!
17 Die Toren litten wegen ihres sündigen Wandels[b]
und um ihrer Ungerechtigkeit willen.
18 Ihre Seele verabscheute alle Nahrung,
und sie gelangten bis an die Pforten des Todes.
19 Da schrien sie zum Herrn in ihrer Not,
und er rettete sie aus ihren Ängsten.
20 Er sandte sein Wort und machte sie gesund
und ließ sie aus ihren Gräbern entkommen.
21 Sie sollen dem Herrn danken für seine Gnade
und für seine Wunder an den Menschenkindern!
22 Sie sollen ihm Dankopfer[c] bringen
und jubelnd seine Taten erzählen!
23 Die in Schiffen sich aufs Meer begaben
und Handel trieben auf großen Wassern,
24 die sahen die Werke des Herrn
und seine Wunder auf hoher See.[d]
25 Er sprach und erregte einen Sturmwind,
der die Wellen in die Höhe warf;
26 sie fuhren empor zum Himmel und hinab zur Tiefe,
und ihre Seele verging vor Angst;
27 sie taumelten und schwankten wie ein Trunkener,
und alle ihre Weisheit war dahin.
28 Da schrien sie zum Herrn
in ihrer Not,
und er führte sie heraus aus ihren Ängsten.
29 Er stillte den Sturm, dass er schwieg
und die Wellen sich beruhigten;
30 und jene freuten sich, dass sie sich legten;
und er führte sie in den ersehnten Hafen.
31 Sie sollen dem Herrn danken für seine Gnade
und für seine Wunder an den Menschenkindern;
32 sie sollen ihn erheben in der Versammlung des Volkes
und ihn rühmen im Rat[e] der Ältesten!
33 Er machte Ströme zur Wüste
und Wasserquellen zu dürstendem Land,
34 fruchtbares Land zur Salzwüste
wegen der Bosheit derer, die es bewohnten.
35 Er machte aber auch die Wüste zum Wasserteich
und dürres Land zu Wasserquellen;
36 und er ließ Hungrige dort siedeln,
und sie gründeten eine Stadt, in der sie wohnen konnten.
37 Und sie säten Äcker an und pflanzten Weinberge,
die reichen Ertrag an Früchten brachten;
38 und er segnete sie, dass sie sich stark mehrten,
und auch ihr Vieh ließ er nicht wenig sein.
39 Dann aber nahmen sie ab und wurden gebeugt
durch Bedrückung, Unglück und Kummer.
40 Auf Fürsten goss er Verachtung aus
und ließ sie umherirren in unwegsamer Öde;
41 den Armen aber hob er aus dem Elend empor
und mehrte sein Geschlecht wie eine Herde.
42 Die Redlichen werden es sehen und sich freuen,
und alle Bosheit wird ihr Maul verschließen!
43 Wer weise ist, wird dies beachten,
und er wird die Gnadenerweise des Herrn verstehen.

2 Let the redeemed(C) of the Lord tell their story—
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
3 those he gathered(D) from the lands,
from east and west, from north and south.[a]
4 Some wandered in desert(E) wastelands,
finding no way to a city(F) where they could settle.
5 They were hungry(G) and thirsty,(H)
and their lives ebbed away.
6 Then they cried out(I) to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
7 He led them by a straight way(J)
to a city(K) where they could settle.
8 Let them give thanks(L) to the Lord for his unfailing love(M)
and his wonderful deeds(N) for mankind,
9 for he satisfies(O) the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things.(P)
10 Some sat in darkness,(Q) in utter darkness,
prisoners suffering(R) in iron chains,(S)
11 because they rebelled(T) against God’s commands
and despised(U) the plans(V) of the Most High.
12 So he subjected them to bitter labor;
they stumbled, and there was no one to help.(W)
13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them(X) from their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness,(Y) the utter darkness,(Z)
and broke away their chains.(AA)
15 Let them give thanks(AB) to the Lord for his unfailing love(AC)
and his wonderful deeds(AD) for mankind,
16 for he breaks down gates of bronze
and cuts through bars of iron.
17 Some became fools(AE) through their rebellious ways(AF)
and suffered affliction(AG) because of their iniquities.
18 They loathed all food(AH)
and drew near the gates of death.(AI)
19 Then they cried(AJ) to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them(AK) from their distress.
20 He sent out his word(AL) and healed them;(AM)
he rescued(AN) them from the grave.(AO)
21 Let them give thanks(AP) to the Lord for his unfailing love(AQ)
and his wonderful deeds(AR) for mankind.
22 Let them sacrifice thank offerings(AS)
and tell of his works(AT) with songs of joy.(AU)
23 Some went out on the sea(AV) in ships;(AW)
they were merchants on the mighty waters.
24 They saw the works of the Lord,(AX)
his wonderful deeds in the deep.
25 For he spoke(AY) and stirred up a tempest(AZ)
that lifted high the waves.(BA)
26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths;
in their peril(BB) their courage melted(BC) away.
27 They reeled(BD) and staggered like drunkards;
they were at their wits’ end.
28 Then they cried(BE) out to the Lord in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.(BF)
29 He stilled the storm(BG) to a whisper;
the waves(BH) of the sea[b] were hushed.(BI)
30 They were glad when it grew calm,
and he guided them(BJ) to their desired haven.
31 Let them give thanks(BK) to the Lord for his unfailing love(BL)
and his wonderful deeds(BM) for mankind.
32 Let them exalt(BN) him in the assembly(BO) of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.
33 He turned rivers into a desert,(BP)
flowing springs(BQ) into thirsty ground,
34 and fruitful land into a salt waste,(BR)
because of the wickedness of those who lived there.
35 He turned the desert into pools of water(BS)
and the parched ground into flowing springs;(BT)
36 there he brought the hungry to live,
and they founded a city where they could settle.
37 They sowed fields and planted vineyards(BU)
that yielded a fruitful harvest;
38 he blessed them, and their numbers greatly increased,(BV)
and he did not let their herds diminish.(BW)
39 Then their numbers decreased,(BX) and they were humbled(BY)
by oppression, calamity and sorrow;
40 he who pours contempt on nobles(BZ)
made them wander in a trackless waste.(CA)
41 But he lifted the needy(CB) out of their affliction
and increased their families like flocks.(CC)
42 The upright see and rejoice,(CD)
but all the wicked shut their mouths.(CE)

Lời Ca Ngợi Và Cảm Tạ Các Ơn Lành Của Chúa
107 Hãy cảm tạ CHÚA vì Ngài là thiện;
Vì tình yêu thương bền vững của Ngài còn mãi mãi.
2 Nguyện những người được cứu chuộc của CHÚA,
Những người được cứu chuộc khỏi tay kẻ thù, hãy nói như vậy;
3 Những người được tập trung từ các xứ,
Từ phương đông, phương tây, phương bắc, phương nam.[a]
4 Những người lưu lạc trong sa mạc, nơi đồng hoang;
Họ không tìm thấy đường vào thành cư trú.
5 Họ bị đói khát,
Tinh thần tuyệt vọng.[b]
6 Trong cơn gian truân họ cầu khẩn CHÚA
Và Ngài giải cứu họ khỏi cảnh khốn cùng.
7 Ngài dẫn họ bằng một con đường thẳng,
Họ đến được thành cư trú.
8 Nguyện họ cảm tạ CHÚA vì tình yêu thương bền vững của Ngài,
Vì các việc diệu kỳ Ngài đã làm cho con cái loài người;
9 Vì Ngài cho người đói khát được đã khát
Và no thỏa với những vật ngon.[c]
10 Những kẻ ở trong tối tăm và trong bóng sự chết;
Những tù nhân trong đau khổ và xiềng xích;
11 Vì họ đã chống lại các lời của Đức Chúa Trời
Và khinh bỉ sự cố vấn của Đấng Chí Cao.
12 Ngài làm cho lòng họ tan nát vì lao khổ nhọc nhằn;
Họ ngã quỵ nhưng không ai cứu giúp.
13 Trong cơn gian truân họ cầu khẩn CHÚA
Và Ngài giải cứu họ khỏi cảnh khốn cùng.
14 Ngài đem họ ra khỏi tối tăm và bóng sự chết,
Đập tan xiềng xích cho họ.
15 Nguyện họ cảm tạ CHÚA vì tình yêu thương kiên trì của Ngài,
Vì các việc diệu kỳ Ngài đã làm cho con cái loài người;
16 Vì Ngài đã đập tan cửa đồng
Và chặt đôi các song sắt.
17 Một số người ngu dại bị đau khổ
Vì theo đường tội lỗi và gian ác.
18 Linh hồn họ ghê tởm mọi thức ăn,
Nên họ đi đến gần cổng sự chết;
19 Trong cơn gian truân họ cầu khẩn CHÚA
Và Ngài giải cứu họ khỏi cảnh khốn cùng.
20 Ngài ban lời[d] của Ngài đến và chữa lành cho họ;
Ngài giải cứu họ khỏi huyệt sâu.
21 Nguyện họ cảm tạ CHÚA vì tình yêu thương kiên trì của Ngài,
Vì các việc diệu kỳ Ngài đã làm cho con cái loài người.
22 Nguyện họ dâng tế lễ tạ ơn
Và công bố những công việc của Ngài qua những bài ca vui vẻ.
23 Có người đi trên biển bằng tàu;
Họ làm việc trên biển cả.
24 Họ thấy công việc của CHÚA,
Những việc diệu kỳ nơi vực sâu.
25 Ngài phán, bão tố nổi lên,
Sóng biển dâng cao.
26 Họ bị đưa lên tận trời cao rồi kéo xuống vực thẳm;
Tâm hồn tan vỡ[e] vì khốn khổ.
27 Họ lảo đảo, ngả nghiêng như người say rượu;
Mọi sự khôn ngoan của họ đều tan biến mất.
28 Trong cơn gian truân họ cầu khẩn CHÚA
Và Ngài giải cứu họ khỏi cảnh khốn cùng.
29 Ngài làm cho bảo tố yên
Và sóng gió lặng.
30 Họ vui mừng vì biển yên lặng;
Ngài đưa họ đến bến họ mơ ước.
31 Nguyện họ cảm tạ CHÚA vì tình yêu thương kiên trì của Ngài,
Vì các việc diệu kỳ Ngài đã làm cho con cái loài người.
32 Nguyện họ tán dương Ngài giữa hội dân
Và ca tụng Ngài trong hội đồng trưởng lão.
33 Ngài biến các sông thành sa mạc;
Ngài đổi các suối nước thành đất khô;
34 Đất đai màu mỡ thành vùng ngập mặn vô dụng,
Vì sự gian ác của dân cư tại đó.
35 Ngài biến sa mạc thành những hồ ao,
Đất khô thành các suối nước;
36 Ngài cho những người đói khát định cư tại đó
Cho họ thiết lập thành phố để cư trú.
37 Họ gieo hạt nơi đồng ruộng,
Trồng các vườn nho và vụ mùa tươi tốt.
38 Ngài ban phước cho, họ sinh sản thêm nhiều;
Súc vật của họ cũng không bị giảm sút.
39 Khi họ bị giảm sút, bị chà đạp
Vì áp bức, hoạn nạn và đau khổ;
40 Ngài đổ sự khinh bỉ trên những người quyền quý của họ,
Khiến chúng lưu lạc trong sa mạc không phương hướng.
41 Nhưng Ngài nâng đỡ kẻ khốn khó ra khỏi cảnh gian truân
Và làm cho gia đình họ đông đúc như đàn chiên.
42 Những người ngay thẳng thấy và vui mừng;
Còn mọi kẻ ác phải câm miệng.
43 Ai là người khôn ngoan, hãy chú tâm đến những điều này
Và suy gẫm đến tình yêu thương vững bền của CHÚA.
