The Lord Our God Is Holy

99 ^(A)The Lord reigns; ^(B)let the peoples tremble!
    He ^(C)sits enthroned upon the cherubim; ^(D)let the earth quake!
²The Lord is ^(E)great in Zion;
    he is ^(F)exalted over all the peoples.
³Let them praise your ^(G)great and awesome name!
    ^(H)Holy is he!
⁴^(I)The King in his might ^(J)loves justice.^[a]
    You have established equity;
you have executed justice
    and righteousness in Jacob.
⁵^(K)Exalt the Lord our God;
    ^(L)worship at his ^(M)footstool!
    ^(N)Holy is he!

⁶^(O)Moses and Aaron were among his ^(P)priests,
    Samuel also was among those who ^(Q)called upon his name.
    They ^(R)called to the Lord, and he answered them.
⁷In ^(S)the pillar of the cloud he spoke to them;
    they ^(T)kept his testimonies
    and the statute that he gave them.

⁸O Lord our God, you answered them;
    you were ^(U)a forgiving God to them,
    but ^(V)an avenger of their wrongdoings.
⁹Exalt the Lord our God,
    and worship at his ^(W)holy mountain;
    for the Lord our God is holy!

His Steadfast Love Endures Forever

A Psalm for ^(A)giving thanks.

100 ^(B)Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
² ^(C)Serve the Lord with gladness!
^(D)Come into his presence with singing!

³Know that ^(E)the Lord, he is God!
It is he who ^(F)made us, and ^(G)we are his;^[a]
we are his ^(H)people, and ^(I)the sheep of his pasture.

⁴^(J)Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his ^(K)courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; ^(L)bless his name!

⁵^(M)For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his ^(N)faithfulness to all generations.

I Will Walk with Integrity

A Psalm of David.

101 I will sing of ^(A)steadfast love and justice;
    to you, O Lord, I will make music.
²I will ^(B)ponder the way ^(C)that is blameless.
    Oh when will you ^(D)come to me?
I will ^(E)walk with ^(F)integrity of heart
    within my house;
³I will not set before my eyes
    anything ^(G)that is worthless.
I hate the work of those who ^(H)fall away;
    it shall not cling to me.
⁴^(I)A perverse heart shall be far from me;
    I will ^(J)know nothing of evil.

⁵Whoever slanders his neighbor ^(K)secretly
I will ^(L)destroy.
Whoever has a ^(M)haughty look and an ^(N)arrogant heart
I will not endure.

⁶I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
he who walks in ^(O)the way that is blameless
shall minister to me.

⁷No one who ^(P)practices deceit
shall dwell in my house;
no one who utters lies
shall ^(Q)continue before my eyes.

⁸^(R)Morning by morning I will destroy
all the wicked in the land,
^(S)cutting off all ^(T)the evildoers
from ^(U)the city of the Lord.

The Lord's Coming Salvation

52 ^(A)Awake, awake,
    put on your strength, O Zion;
^(B)put on your beautiful garments,
    O Jerusalem, ^(C)the holy city;
^(D)for there shall no more come into you
    the uncircumcised and the unclean.
²^(E)Shake yourself from the dust and arise;
    be seated, O Jerusalem;
^(F)loose the bonds from your neck,
    O captive daughter of Zion.

³For thus says the Lord: ^(G)“You were sold for nothing, and ^(H)you shall be redeemed without money.” ⁴For thus says the Lord God: ^(I)“My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there, and the Assyrian oppressed them for nothing.^[a] ⁵Now therefore what have I here,” declares the Lord, “seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Their rulers wail,” declares the Lord, “and ^(J)continually all the day my name is despised. ⁶Therefore my people shall know my name. ^(K)Therefore in that day they shall know that it is I who speak; here I am.”

⁷^(L)How beautiful upon the mountains
    are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, ^(M)who brings good news of happiness,
    who publishes salvation,
    who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
⁸The voice of ^(N)your watchmen—they lift up their voice;
    together they sing for joy;
^(O)for eye to eye they see
    the return of the Lord to Zion.
⁹^(P)Break forth together into singing,
    ^(Q)you waste places of Jerusalem,
for ^(R)the Lord has comforted his people;
    he has redeemed Jerusalem.
¹⁰^(S)The Lord has bared his holy arm
    before the eyes of all the nations,
^(T)and all the ends of the earth shall see
    the salvation of our God.

¹¹^(U)Depart, depart, go out from there;
    touch no unclean thing;
go out from the midst of her; purify yourselves,
    ^(V)you who bear the vessels of the Lord.
¹²For you shall not ^(W)go out in haste,
    and you shall not go in flight,
^(X)for the Lord will go before you,
    ^(Y)and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

He Was Pierced for Our Transgressions

¹³Behold, ^(Z)my servant shall act wisely;^[b]
    he shall be high and lifted up,
    and shall be exalted.
¹⁴As many were astonished at you—
    ^(AA)his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance,
    and his form beyond that of the children of mankind—
¹⁵so ^(AB)shall he sprinkle^[c] many nations.
    ^(AC)Kings shall shut their mouths because of him,
^(AD)for that which has not been told them they see,
    and that which they have not heard they understand.

2 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of ^(A)him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, ^(B)who walks among the seven golden lampstands.

²^(C)“‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but ^(D)have tested those ^(E)who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. ³I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up ^(F)for my name's sake, and you ^(G)have not grown weary. ⁴But I have this against you, that you have abandoned ^(H)the love you had at first. ⁵Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do ^(I)the works you did at first. If not, ^(J)I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. ⁶Yet this you have: you hate the works of ^(K)the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. ⁷^(L)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ^(M)To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of ^(N)the tree of life, which is in ^(O)the paradise of God.’

To the Church in Smyrna

⁸“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: ‘The words of ^(P)the first and the last, ^(Q)who died and came to life.

⁹“‘I know your tribulation and ^(R)your poverty (^(S)but you are rich) and the slander^[a] of ^(T)those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, ^(U)that you may be tested, and for ^(V)ten days ^(W)you will have tribulation. ^(X)Be faithful ^(Y)unto death, and I will give you ^(Z)the crown of life. ¹¹^(AA)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ^(AB)The one who conquers will not be hurt by ^(AC)the second death.’

To the Church in Pergamum

¹²“And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of him who has ^(AD)the sharp two-edged sword.

¹³“‘I know where you dwell, ^(AE)where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not ^(AF)deny my faith^[b] even in the days of Antipas ^(AG)my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. ¹⁴But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of ^(AH)Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might ^(AI)eat food sacrificed to idols and ^(AJ)practice sexual immorality. ¹⁵So also you have some who hold the teaching of ^(AK)the Nicolaitans. ¹⁶Therefore repent. If not, ^(AL)I will come to you soon and ^(AM)war against them with ^(AN)the sword of my mouth. ¹⁷^(AO)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ^(AP)To the one who conquers I will give some of ^(AQ)the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with ^(AR)a new name written on the stone ^(AS)that no one knows except the one who receives it.’
