¹ Lord, you have been our dwelling place^[a]
    in all generations.^(A)
2 Before the mountains were brought forth
    or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
    from everlasting to everlasting you are God.^(B)

¹⁰ The days of our life are seventy years
    or perhaps eighty, if we are strong;
even then their span^[a] is only toil and trouble;
    they are soon gone, and we fly away.^(A)

¹² So teach us to count our days
    that we may gain a wise heart.^(A)

⁹ What has been is what will be,
    and what has been done is what will be done;
    there is nothing new under the sun.^(A)
10 Is there a thing of which it is said,
    “See, this is new”?
It has already been
    in the ages before us.
¹¹ The people of long ago are not remembered,
    nor will there be any remembrance
of people yet to come
    by those who come after them.
