Psalm 9

Celebration of God’s Justice

For the choir director: according to Muth-labben. A psalm of David.

I will thank the Lord with all my heart;
I will declare all your wondrous works.(A)
I will rejoice and boast about you;(B)
I will sing about your name, Most High.(C)

When my enemies retreat,
they stumble and perish before you.(D)
For you have upheld my just cause;(E)
you are seated on your throne as a righteous judge.(F)
You have rebuked the nations:(G)
You have destroyed the wicked;(H)
you have erased their name forever and ever.(I)
The enemy has come to eternal ruin;
you have uprooted the cities,
and the very memory of them has perished.(J)

But the Lord sits enthroned forever;(K)
he has established his throne for judgment.(L)
And he judges the world with righteousness;
he executes judgment on the nations with fairness.(M)
The Lord is a refuge for the persecuted,
a refuge in times of trouble.(N)
10 Those who know your name trust in you
because you have not abandoned
those who seek you, Lord.(O)

11 Sing to the Lord, who dwells in Zion;(P)
proclaim his deeds among the nations.(Q)
12 For the one who seeks an accounting
for bloodshed remembers them;(R)
he does not forget the cry of the oppressed.(S)

13 Be gracious to me, Lord;
consider my affliction at the hands of those who hate me.(T)
Lift me up from the gates of death,(U)
14 so that I may declare all your praises.
I will rejoice in your salvation(V)
within the gates of Daughter Zion.

15 The nations have fallen into the pit they made;
their foot is caught in the net they have concealed.(W)
16 The Lord has made himself known;
he has executed justice,(X)
snaring the wicked
by the work of their hands.(Y)Higgaion. Selah

17 The wicked will return to Sheol(Z)
all the nations that forget God.(AA)
18 For the needy will not always be forgotten;
the hope of the oppressed[a] will not perish forever.(AB)

19 Rise up, Lord! Do not let mere humans prevail;
let the nations be judged in your presence.(AC)
20 Put terror in them, Lord;(AD)
let the nations know they are only humans.(AE)Selah

Ó Senhor, eu te louvarei de todo o meu coração;
quero contar todas as tuas maravilhas.
Tu me enches de alegria;
por tua causa estou cheio de júbilo, ó Altíssimo.

Os meus inimigos recuaram,
caíram e morreram na tua presença
porque tu me defendeste e me apoiaste.
Sentado no tribunal, como justo juiz,
sempre me julgas com toda a justiça.
Repreendeste as nações e destruíste os maus;
nunca mais haverá lembrança deles.
Os meus adversários estão condenados para sempre;
destruíste as suas cidades e elas ficaram esquecidas.

Quanto ao Senhor, ele vive para sempre;
o seu tribunal está já preparado para julgar.
Ele mesmo julgará o mundo com justiça
e as nações com toda a retidão.
Todos os oprimidos encontrarão nele refúgio;
um refúgio perfeito em tempos de angústia.
10 Em ti confiarão todos os que conhecem a força do teu nome;
pois tu, Senhor, nunca desamparaste os que te buscam.

11 Cantem louvores ao Senhor que está entronizado em Sião;
contem a toda a gente tudo o que ele tem feito.
12 Aquele que sabe vingar o sangue derramado
lembra-se certamente de todos os que a ele clamam por justiça;
não se esquece do clamor dos que estão aflitos.

13 Tem misericórdia de mim, Senhor;
vê como sofro nas mãos daqueles que me odeiam.
Tu podes arrebatar-me das portas da morte.
14 Salva-me, para que possa louvar-te dentro das portas de Sião
e me alegre por me teres salvo.

15 Os povos caíram nas covas que eles mesmos abriram,
para que outros nelas ficassem cativos;
ficaram presos nas armadilhas que prepararam.
16 Toda a gente sabe como o Senhor manifesta a sua justiça,
apanhando os ímpios nas suas próprias ciladas. (Pausa)
17 Os maus serão lançados no mundo dos mortos,
assim como todos os que se esquecem de Deus.
18 Os necessitados, porém, jamais serão esquecidos,
nem as esperanças dos pobres serão, de forma alguma, iludidas.

19 Levanta-te, Senhor, que o homem não seja vencedor!
Que os povos sejam julgados na tua presença!
20 Farás com que tremam, Senhor,
para que saibam que, afinal,
não passam de meros seres humanos. (Pausa)

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;(A)
    I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.(B)
I will be glad and rejoice(C) in you;
    I will sing the praises(D) of your name,(E) O Most High.

My enemies turn back;
    they stumble and perish before you.
For you have upheld my right(F) and my cause,(G)
    sitting enthroned(H) as the righteous judge.(I)
You have rebuked the nations(J) and destroyed the wicked;
    you have blotted out their name(K) for ever and ever.
Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies,
    you have uprooted their cities;(L)
    even the memory of them(M) has perished.

The Lord reigns forever;(N)
    he has established his throne(O) for judgment.
He rules the world in righteousness(P)
    and judges the peoples with equity.(Q)
The Lord is a refuge(R) for the oppressed,(S)
    a stronghold in times of trouble.(T)
10 Those who know your name(U) trust in you,
    for you, Lord, have never forsaken(V) those who seek you.(W)

11 Sing the praises(X) of the Lord, enthroned in Zion;(Y)
    proclaim among the nations(Z) what he has done.(AA)
12 For he who avenges blood(AB) remembers;
    he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.(AC)

13 Lord, see how my enemies(AD) persecute me!
    Have mercy(AE) and lift me up from the gates of death,(AF)
14 that I may declare your praises(AG)
    in the gates of Daughter Zion,(AH)
    and there rejoice in your salvation.(AI)

15 The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug;(AJ)
    their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.(AK)
16 The Lord is known by his acts of justice;
    the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.[c](AL)
17 The wicked go down to the realm of the dead,(AM)
    all the nations that forget God.(AN)
18 But God will never forget the needy;
    the hope(AO) of the afflicted(AP) will never perish.

19 Arise,(AQ) Lord, do not let mortals triumph;(AR)
    let the nations be judged(AS) in your presence.
20 Strike them with terror,(AT) Lord;
    let the nations know they are only mortal.(AU)

称颂 神公义的审判

大卫的诗,交给诗班长,调用“慕拉宾”。

耶和华啊!我要全心称谢你,

我要述说你一切奇妙的作为。

我要因你快乐欢欣;

至高者啊!我要歌颂你的名。

我的仇敌转身退后的时候,

就在你的面前绊倒、灭亡。

因为你为我伸了冤,辨了屈;

你坐在宝座上,施行公义的审判。

你斥责了列国,灭绝了恶人;

你涂抹了他们的名,直到永永远远。

仇敌的结局到了,他们遭毁灭,

直到永远;

你拆毁他们的城镇,使它们湮没无闻。

耶和华却永远坐着为王,

为了施行审判,他已经设立宝座。

他必以公义审判世界,

按正直判断万民。

耶和华要给受欺压的人作保障,

作患难时的避难所。

10 认识你名的人必倚靠你;

耶和华啊!你从未撇弃寻求你的人。

11 你们要歌颂住在锡安的耶和华,

要在万民中传扬他的作为。

12 因为那追讨流人血的罪的,他记念受苦的人,

他没有忘记他们的哀求。

13 耶和华啊!求你恩待我,

看看那些恨我的人加给我的苦难;

求你把我从死门拉上来,

14 好叫我述说你一切可称颂的事,

并在锡安的城门(“的城门”原文作“女子的门”)因你的救恩欢乐。

15 列国陷入自己挖掘的坑中,

他们的脚在自己暗设的网里缠住了。

16 耶和华已经把自己显明,又施行了审判;

恶人被自己手所作的缠住了。

17 恶人都必归到阴间,

忘记 神的列国都必灭亡。

18 但贫穷的人必不会被永远遗忘,

困苦人的希望也必不会永久落空。

19 耶和华啊!求你起来,不要让世人得胜;

愿列国都在你面前受审判。

20 耶和华啊!求你使他们惊惧,

愿列国都知道自己不过是人。(细拉)
