⁷ The Lord reigns forever;^(A)
    he has established his throne^(B) for judgment.
⁸ He rules the world in righteousness^(C)
    and judges the peoples with equity.^(D)
9 The Lord is a refuge^(E) for the oppressed,^(F)
    a stronghold in times of trouble.^(G)

⁴ May he defend the afflicted^(A) among the people
    and save the children of the needy;^(B)
    may he crush the oppressor.^(C)
