Psalm 9:16-18
Complete Jewish Bible

16 (15) The nations have drowned in the pit they dug,
caught their own feet in the net they hid.
17 (16) Adonai made himself known and executed judgment;
the wicked are ensnared in the work of their own hands. (Higgayon; Selah)

18 (17) The wicked will return to Sh’ol,
all the nations that forget God.

16 The Lord is known by his acts of justice;
    the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.[a](A)
17 The wicked go down to the realm of the dead,(B)
    all the nations that forget God.(C)
18 But God will never forget the needy;
    the hope(D) of the afflicted(E) will never perish.
