Psalm 89:28-37

New American Standard Bible

²⁸ I will maintain My ^(A)favor for him forever,
And My ^(B)covenant shall be confirmed to him.
²⁹ So I will establish his ^[a](C)descendants forever,
And his ^(D)throne ^(E)as the days of heaven.

³⁰ “If his sons ^(F)abandon My Law
And do not walk in My judgments,
³¹ If they ^[b]violate My statutes
And do not keep My commandments,
³² Then I will punish their wrongdoing with the ^(G)rod,
And their guilt with ^[c]afflictions.
³³ But I will not ^[d]withhold ^(H)My favor from him,
Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
³⁴ I will not ^[e]violate My ^(I)covenant,
Nor will I ^(J)alter ^[f]the utterance of My lips.
^35 [g]Once I have ^(K)sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David.
³⁶ His ^[h](L)descendants shall endure forever,
And his ^(M)throne ^(N)as the sun before Me.
³⁷ It shall be established forever ^(O)like the moon,
And a ^(P)witness in the sky is faithful.” Selah
