¹⁷They ^(A)surround me like a flood ^(B)all day long;
they ^(C)close in on me together.
¹⁸You have caused ^(D)my beloved and my friend to shun me;
my companions have become darkness.^[a]

I Will Sing of the Steadfast Love of the Lord

89 ^(F)I will sing of ^(G)the steadfast love of the Lord, forever;
    with my mouth I will make known your ^(H)faithfulness to all generations.
²For I said, ^(I)“Steadfast love will be built up forever;
    in the heavens ^(J)you will establish your ^(K)faithfulness.”
³You have said, “I have made ^(L)a covenant with my ^(M)chosen one;
    I have ^(N)sworn to David my servant:
⁴‘I will establish your ^(O)offspring forever,
    and build your ^(P)throne for all generations.’” Selah

⁵Let ^(Q)the heavens praise your ^(R)wonders, O Lord,
    your faithfulness in the assembly of ^(S)the holy ones!
⁶For ^(T)who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?
    ^(U)Who among the heavenly beings^[c] is like the Lord,
⁷a God greatly ^(V)to be feared in the council of ^(W)the holy ones,
    and awesome above all ^(X)who are around him?
⁸O Lord God of hosts,
    ^(Y)who is mighty as you are, O ^(Z)Lord,
    with your faithfulness all around you?
⁹You rule the raging of the sea;
    when its waves rise, you ^(AA)still them.
¹⁰You ^(AB)crushed ^(AC)Rahab like a carcass;
    you ^(AD)scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
¹¹^(AE)The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours;
    ^(AF)the world and all that is in it, you have ^(AG)founded them.
¹²^(AH)The north and the south, you have created them;
    ^(AI)Tabor and ^(AJ)Hermon ^(AK)joyously praise your name.
¹³You have a mighty arm;
    strong is your hand, high your right hand.
¹⁴^(AL)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
    ^(AM)steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
