Gib mir ein Zeichen deiner Güte!
86 Ein Gebet von David.
Höre mich, o Herr, und antworte mir,
denn ich bin hilflos und auf dich angewiesen!
2 Rette mein Leben – ich gehöre doch zu dir!
Hilf mir, denn auf dich setze ich mein Vertrauen!
Du bist mein Gott, dem ich diene.
3 Den ganzen Tag rufe ich nach dir;
hab doch Erbarmen mit mir, Herr!
4 Schenke mir wieder neue Freude,
nach dir sehne ich mich!
5 Du, Herr, bist gut und zum Vergeben bereit,
unermesslich ist deine Gnade für alle, die zu dir beten.
6 Höre, Herr, mein Gebet,
ich flehe zu dir!
7 Ich weiß weder aus noch ein.
Darum schreie ich zu dir, und du wirst mich erhören.
8 Kein anderer Gott ist wie du, Herr;
niemand kann tun, was du tust!
9 Du hast alle Völker geschaffen.
Sie werden zu dir kommen und dich anbeten,
sie werden deinen Namen rühmen und ehren.
10 Denn du bist groß und vollbringst Wunder,
nur du bist Gott, du allein!
11 Herr, zeige mir deinen Weg,
ich will dir treu sein und tun, was du sagst.
Gib mir nur dies eine Verlangen:
dir mit Ehrfurcht zu begegnen!
12 Von ganzem Herzen will ich dir danken, Herr, mein Gott;
für alle Zeiten will ich deinen Namen preisen.
13 Denn deine Liebe zu mir ist unfassbar groß!
Du hast mich dem sicheren Tod entrissen.
14 Hochmütige Menschen fallen über mich her.
Sie tun sich zusammen und schrecken vor keiner Gewalttat zurück,
ja, sie trachten mir nach dem Leben.
Du, Herr, bist ihnen völlig gleichgültig!
15 Aber du bist ein gnädiger und barmherziger Gott.
Deine Geduld ist groß, deine Liebe und Treue kennen kein Ende.
16 Darum wende dich mir zu und hab Erbarmen!
Gib mir deine Kraft und rette mich! Dir bin ich treu ergeben.
17 Herr, gib mir ein sichtbares Zeichen deiner Güte!
Dann werden alle, die mich hassen, sich schämen,
weil du mir geholfen und mich getröstet hast!

1 Hear me, Lord, and answer(A) me,
for I am poor and needy.
2 Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
save your servant who trusts in you.(B)
You are my God; 3 have mercy(C) on me, Lord,
for I call(D) to you all day long.
4 Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust(E) in you.
5 You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love(F) to all who call to you.
6 Hear my prayer, Lord;
listen to my cry(G) for mercy.
7 When I am in distress,(H) I call(I) to you,
because you answer(J) me.
8 Among the gods(K) there is none like you,(L) Lord;
no deeds can compare with yours.
9 All the nations you have made
will come(M) and worship(N) before you, Lord;
they will bring glory(O) to your name.
10 For you are great(P) and do marvelous deeds;(Q)
you alone(R) are God.
11 Teach me your way,(S) Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;(T)
give me an undivided(U) heart,
that I may fear(V) your name.
12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;(W)
I will glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your love toward me;
you have delivered me(X) from the depths,
from the realm of the dead.(Y)
14 Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God;
ruthless people are trying to kill me—
they have no regard for you.(Z)
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious(AA) God,
slow to anger,(AB) abounding(AC) in love and faithfulness.(AD)
16 Turn to me(AE) and have mercy(AF) on me;
show your strength(AG) in behalf of your servant;
save me, because I serve you
just as my mother did.(AH)
17 Give me a sign(AI) of your goodness,
that my enemies may see it and be put to shame,
for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

86 Inclina, oh Jehová, tu oído, y escúchame,
Porque estoy afligido y menesteroso.
2 Guarda mi alma, porque soy piadoso;
Salva tú, oh Dios mío, a tu siervo que en ti confía.
3 Ten misericordia de mí, oh Jehová;
Porque a ti clamo todo el día.
4 Alegra el alma de tu siervo,
Porque a ti, oh Señor, levanto mi alma.
5 Porque tú, Señor, eres bueno y perdonador,
Y grande en misericordia para con todos los que te invocan.
6 Escucha, oh Jehová, mi oración,
Y está atento a la voz de mis ruegos.
7 En el día de mi angustia te llamaré,
Porque tú me respondes.
8 Oh Señor, ninguno hay como tú entre los dioses,
Ni obras que igualen tus obras.
9 Todas las naciones que hiciste vendrán y adorarán delante de ti, Señor,
Y glorificarán tu nombre.(A)
10 Porque tú eres grande, y hacedor de maravillas;
Solo tú eres Dios.
11 Enséñame, oh Jehová, tu camino; caminaré yo en tu verdad;
Afirma mi corazón para que tema tu nombre.
12 Te alabaré, oh Jehová Dios mío, con todo mi corazón,
Y glorificaré tu nombre para siempre.
13 Porque tu misericordia es grande para conmigo,
Y has librado mi alma de las profundidades del Seol.
14 Oh Dios, los soberbios se levantaron contra mí,
Y conspiración de violentos ha buscado mi vida,
Y no te pusieron delante de sí.
15 Mas tú, Señor, Dios misericordioso y clemente,
Lento para la ira, y grande en misericordia y verdad,
16 Mírame, y ten misericordia de mí;
Da tu poder a tu siervo,
Y guarda al hijo de tu sierva.
17 Haz conmigo señal para bien,
Y véanla los que me aborrecen, y sean avergonzados;
Porque tú, Jehová, me ayudaste y me consolaste.

86 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
