¹⁴O God, insolent men have ^(A)risen up against me;
    a band of ruthless men seeks my life,
    and they do not set you before them.
¹⁵But you, O Lord, are a God ^(B)merciful and gracious,
    slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
¹⁶^(C)Turn to me and be gracious to me;
    give your strength to ^(D)your servant,
    and save ^(E)the son of your maidservant.

    and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
    and his lips from speaking deceit;
¹¹let him turn away from evil and do good;
    let him seek peace and pursue it.
