為國求福

85 耶和華啊，你已經向你的地施恩，
    救回被擄的雅各。
2 你赦免了你百姓的罪孽，
    遮蓋了他們一切的過犯。（細拉）
3 你收回所發的憤怒，
    撤銷你猛烈的怒氣。

4 拯救我們的　神啊，求你使我們回轉，
    使你向我們所發的憤怒止息。
5 你要向我們發怒到永遠嗎？
    要將你的怒氣延留到萬代嗎？
6 你不再將我們救活，
    使你的百姓因你歡喜嗎？
7 耶和華啊，求你使我們得見你的慈愛，
    又將你的救恩賜給我們。

8 我要聽　神—耶和華所說的話，
    因為他必應許賜平安給他的百姓，就是他的聖民；
    他們卻不可再轉向愚昧[a]。
9 他的救恩誠然與敬畏他的人相近，
    使榮耀住在我們的地上。

10 慈愛和誠實彼此相遇，
    公義與和平彼此相親。
11 誠實從地而生，
    公義從天而現。
12 耶和華必賜福氣給我們；
    我們的地也要出土產。
13 公義要行在他面前，
    使他的腳蹤有可走之路。

King James Version

85 Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12 Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Bitte um neue Gnade für Gottes Volk

85 Für den Dirigenten[a]. Von den Korachitern[b]. Ein Psalm.

2 Herr, du hattest Gefallen an deinem Land,
die Nachkommen Jakobs hast du aus der Gefangenschaft befreit.
3 Du hast die Schuld deines Volkes vergeben
und alle ihre Sünden zugedeckt.[c]

4 Deinen Groll hast du beendet,
hast abgelassen von deinem glühenden Zorn.
5 Richte uns nun wieder auf[d], Gott, der uns Rettung schenkt!
Setz deinem Unwillen gegen uns doch ein Ende!

6 Oder willst du ewig aufgebracht sein über uns?
Willst du zornig auf uns sein – jetzt und in allen künftigen Generationen?
7 Willst du uns nicht wieder neues Leben schenken,
damit dein Volk sich über dich freuen kann?
8 Lass uns deine Gnade erfahren, Herr,
und schenke uns Rettung.

9 Ich will hören, was Gott, der Herr, sagt.
Frieden verspricht er seinem Volk, all denen, die ihm treu sind.
Nur sollen sie nicht wieder in ihre verhängnisvollen Fehler zurückfallen[e]!
10 Ja, nahe ist seine Rettung denen, die in Ehrfurcht vor ihm leben.
Seine Herrlichkeit soll wieder Wohnung nehmen in unserem Land.

11 Dann begegnen einander Gnade und Wahrheit,
dann küssen sich Gerechtigkeit und Friede.
12 Treue wird aus der Erde sprießen
und Gerechtigkeit herabschauen vom Himmel.
13 Der Herr wird uns mit allem Guten beschenken,
und unser Land wird seinen Ertrag bringen.
14 Gerechtigkeit wird vor unserem Gott hergehen,
und er wird sie Schritt um Schritt zu seinem Weg ´für uns` machen[f].

Psalm 85[a]

For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.

1 You, Lord, showed favor to your land;
    you restored the fortunes(A) of Jacob.
2 You forgave(B) the iniquity(C) of your people
    and covered all their sins.[b]
3 You set aside all your wrath(D)
    and turned from your fierce anger.(E)

4 Restore(F) us again, God our Savior,(G)
    and put away your displeasure toward us.
5 Will you be angry with us forever?(H)
    Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
6 Will you not revive(I) us again,
    that your people may rejoice(J) in you?
7 Show us your unfailing love,(K) Lord,
    and grant us your salvation.(L)

8 I will listen to what God the Lord says;
    he promises peace(M) to his people, his faithful servants—
    but let them not turn to folly.(N)
9 Surely his salvation(O) is near those who fear him,
    that his glory(P) may dwell in our land.

10 Love and faithfulness(Q) meet together;
    righteousness(R) and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
    and righteousness(S) looks down from heaven.
12 The Lord will indeed give what is good,(T)
    and our land will yield(U) its harvest.
13 Righteousness goes before him
    and prepares the way for his steps.
