Radost slavljenja u Hramu

Voditelju zbora. Na gititu. Pjesma hvale Korahovih potomaka.

84 Kako je divno tvoje prebivalište,
    Svevladaru BOŽE!
Duša mi čezne za BOŽJIM Hramom,
    a srce i tijelo kliču Bogu živome.
I vrapci si dom nalaze,
    i lastavice gnijezda grade
da izlegnu mlade kraj BOŽJIH žrtvenika.
    O, BOŽE Svevladaru, kralju moj!
Blago onima što u tvom domu borave
    i bez prestanka te hvale! Selah

Blago onima čija je snaga u tebi,
    čije srce čezne putovati u tvoj Hram.
Dok prolaze dolinom Baka,
    ona se ispunjava izvorima,
    natapa je jesenja kiša.
Oni putuju od grada do grada,
    do Siona gdje susreću Boga
    koji je nad svim bogovima.

BOŽE Svevladaru, čuj moju molitvu;
    saslušaj me, Jakovljev Bože! Selah

Bože, čuvaj nam kralja, našeg zaštitnika![a]
    Naklono pogledaj lice svog izabranika.

10 Bolji je jedan dan u tvom Hramu
    nego tisuću bilo gdje drugdje.
Radije stojim na pragu Doma svog Boga
    nego da boravim u domovima zlih.
11 BOG je sunce i štit,
BOG daje milost i slavu.
    Nijedno dobro ne uskraćuje
    onima koji ispravno žive.
12 BOŽE Svevladaru,
    blago čovjeku koji se u tebe pouzdaje.

The Blessedness of Dwelling in the House of God

To the Chief Musician. (A)On[a] an instrument of Gath. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

84 How (B)lovely [b]is Your tabernacle,
O Lord of hosts!
(C)My soul longs, yes, even faints
For the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Even the sparrow has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself,
Where she may lay her young—
Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts,
My King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your (D)house;
They will still be praising You. Selah

Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley (E)of [c]Baca,
They make it a spring;
The rain also covers it with [d]pools.
They go (F)from strength to strength;
[e]Each one (G)appears before God in Zion.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah
(H)O God, behold our shield,
And look upon the face of Your [f]anointed.

10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather [g]be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is (I)a sun and (J)shield;
The Lord will give grace and glory;
(K)No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.

12 O Lord of hosts,
(L)Blessed is the man who trusts in You!
