Der höchste Richter erhebt Anklage
82 Ein Lied von Asaf.
Gott steht auf inmitten der Götter[a],
in ihrer Versammlung erhebt er Anklage:
2 »Wie lange noch wollt ihr das Recht verdrehen,
wenn ihr eure Urteile sprecht?
Wie lange noch wollt ihr Partei ergreifen für Menschen,
die sich mir widersetzen?
3 Verhelft den Wehrlosen und Waisen zu ihrem Recht!
Behandelt die Armen und Bedürftigen, wie es ihnen zusteht!
4 Reißt sie aus den Klauen ihrer Unterdrücker!«
5 Aber sie handeln ohne Sinn und Verstand;
sie irren im Dunkeln umher und sehen nicht,
dass durch ihre Bosheit die Welt ins Wanken gerät.
6 Zwar hatte ich ihnen gesagt: »Ihr seid Götter!
Ihr alle seid Söhne des Höchsten!
7 Aber wie gewöhnliche Menschen müsst auch ihr sterben;
euer Leben wird genauso enden wie das eines jeden Herrschers!«
8 Erhebe dich, Gott, und richte die Welt,
denn dir gehören alle Völker!

82 (Ein Psalm Asaphs.) Gott steht in der Gemeinde Gottes und ist Richter unter den Göttern.
2 Wie lange wollt ihr unrecht richten und die Person der Gottlosen vorziehen? (Sela.)
3 Schaffet Recht dem Armen und dem Waisen und helfet dem Elenden und Dürftigen zum Recht.
4 Errettet den Geringen und Armen und erlöset ihn aus der Gottlosen Gewalt.
5 Aber sie lassen sich nicht sagen und achten's nicht; sie gehen immer hin im Finstern; darum müssen alle Grundfesten des Landes wanken.
6 Ich habe wohl gesagt: "Ihr seid Götter und allzumal Kinder des Höchsten";
7 aber ihr werdet sterben wie Menschen und wie ein Tyrann zugrunde gehen.
8 Gott, mache dich auf und richte den Erdboden; denn du bist Erbherr über alle Heiden!

A Psalm of Asaph.
82 God (A)stands in the congregation of [a]the mighty;
He judges among (B)the [b]gods.
2 How long will you judge unjustly,
And (C)show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 [c]Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and (D)needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy;
Free them from the hand of the wicked.
5 They do not know, nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the (E)foundations of the earth are [d]unstable.
6 I said, (F)“You are [e]gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes.”
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth;
(G)For You shall inherit all nations.

2 “How long will you[a] defend the unjust
and show partiality(C) to the wicked?[b](D)
3 Defend the weak and the fatherless;(E)
uphold the cause of the poor(F) and the oppressed.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
5 “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing.(G)
They walk about in darkness;(H)
all the foundations(I) of the earth are shaken.
