⁴ to an inheritance ^[a]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, ^(A)reserved in heaven for you,

^4 (A)by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be ^(B)partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the ^[a]corruption that is in the world through lust.

⁹ For ^(A)in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead ^[a]bodily; ¹⁰ and you are complete in Him, who is the ^(B)head of all ^[b]principality and power.

Not Legalism but Christ

¹¹ In Him you were also ^(C)circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by ^(D)putting off the body ^[c]of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, ^12 (E)buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through ^(F)faith in the working of God, ^(G)who raised Him from the dead. ¹³ And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, ^14 (H)having wiped out the ^[d]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. ^15 (I)Having disarmed ^(J)principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

^22 (A)in whom you also are being built together for a ^(B)dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

²⁰ I have been ^(A)crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh ^(B)I live by faith in the Son of God, ^(C)who loved me and gave Himself for me.

²⁵ For He must reign ^(A)till He has put all enemies under His feet. ^26 (B)The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. ²⁷ For ^(C)“He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. ^28 (D)Now when all things are made subject to Him, then ^(E)the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
