⁷⁰ He ^(A)chose David his servant
    and took him from the sheepfolds;
⁷¹ from ^(B)following the nursing ewes he brought him
    to ^(C)shepherd Jacob his people,
    Israel his ^(D)inheritance.
⁷² With ^(E)upright heart he shepherded them
    and ^(F)guided them with his skillful hand.

¹³ But we your people, the ^(A)sheep of your pasture,
    will ^(B)give thanks to you forever;
    from generation to generation we will recount your praise.
