75 Agradecemos ao Senhor, ó Deus.
Agradecemos ao Senhor por estar perto de nós;
todos falam das coisas maravilhosas que fez.
2 Deus diz: “No momento determinado,
vou julgar a todos com justiça.
3 Quando a terra tremer e estiver prestes a derreter-se com tudo o que contém,
sou eu que a sustentarei”. Selah
4 Digo aos orgulhosos: “Não sejam orgulhosos”.
E aos ímpios: “Não se gabem de serem importantes.
5 Não tenham tanta certeza de que vão ganhar,
não sejam arrogantes”.
6 A recompensa não vem do leste,
nem do oeste, nem do deserto;
7 pois é Deus quem julga,
é ele quem condena e exalta.
8 O SENHOR tem na sua mão uma taça
cheia do vinho forte da sua ira.
Ele dá esse vinho aos maus da terra,
e eles bebem-no até à última gota.
9 Mas eu falarei sempre do que Deus faz!
Cantarei louvores ao Deus de Jacó.
10 Deus disse: “Destruirei o poder dos maus,
mas aumentarei o poder dos justos”.

Thanksgiving for God’s Righteous Judgment
To the Chief Musician. Set to (A)“Do[a] Not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.
75 We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
2 “When I choose the [b]proper time,
I will judge uprightly.
3 The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved;
I set up its pillars firmly. Selah
4 “I said to the boastful, ‘Do not deal boastfully,’
And to the wicked, (B)‘Do not [c]lift up the horn.
5 Do not lift up your horn on high;
Do not speak with [d]a stiff neck.’ ”
6 For exaltation comes neither from the east
Nor from the west nor from the south.
7 But (C)God is the Judge:
(D)He puts down one,
And exalts another.
8 For (E)in the hand of the Lord there is a cup,
And the wine is red;
It is fully mixed, and He pours it out;
Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth
Drain and drink down.
9 But I will declare forever,
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 “All(F) the [e]horns of the wicked I will also cut off,
But (G)the horns of the righteous shall be (H)exalted.”

God Will Judge with Equity
To the choirmaster: according to (A)Do Not Destroy. (B)A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.
75 We give thanks to you, O God;
we give thanks, for your name is (C)near.
We[a] recount your wondrous deeds.
2 “At (D)the set time that I appoint
I will judge (E)with equity.
3 When the earth (F)totters, and all its inhabitants,
it is I who keep steady its (G)pillars. Selah
4 I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’
and to the wicked, (H)‘Do not lift up your horn;
5 do not lift up your horn on high,
or speak with haughty neck.’”
6 For not from the east or from the west
and not from the wilderness comes (I)lifting up,
7 but it is (J)God who executes judgment,
(K)putting down one and lifting up another.
8 (L)For in the hand of the Lord there is (M)a cup
with foaming wine, (N)well mixed,
and he pours out from it,
and all the wicked of the earth
shall (O)drain it down to the dregs.
9 But I will declare it forever;
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 (P)All the horns of the wicked I will cut off,
(Q)but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.
